My mom never beat me. Her favourite punishment was to go sleep. Lol

Whenever I heard those 3 words I would walk crying to my bed and fall asleep.

May Allah grant our parents jannah. ameen ♡

Maa shaa Allah that’s how it should be wallaahi! Well let’s say alhamdulilaah that those words were enough to scare you loool

I don't think I could have been raised with words alone, I was extremely hard-headed as a kid. I remember my mom would chase me up the stairs and I would lock the bathroom so she couldn't karbash me.

Then her mood would change by the time I came downstairs :ftw9nwa:

Very scary lol alhamdulillah indeed sis

Mashallah that's how it should be, beating your kids is never the way to go. If you keep beating your kids like they are some kind of animals then they will grow to resent you and retaliate through rebellious actions which is heavily evident in the Somali community.

Treat your kids like xoolo and they will grow up to act like one.

That's so true.

Alot of those hardened adults, or teenagers were most likely beaten at home.

Y'all are talking about beatings.
My hooyo stabbed me once. I still have the scar. That's how you know you were a bad child.

My mum never beat me, she just used to throw dacas or brooms at me. My dad used to talk to me in his disappointed voice which would scare the living daylights of me. Ruunti I was a goody two shoes.

Seems fake. His mum must have a lot of self control not to run and beat him up. Besides I couldn't argue with hooyo for 10 whole minutes without childs 'rights violation. :ohlord:

I wasn't whooped, but i got locked up in a dark room once, and I was scared of the dark, so I lifted up the mattress and spent the night between the bed frame and the mattress. My mom came into the room early morning to check up on me, she didn't see me on the bed, so she starts screaming, mom thought I was kidnapped, mom was shocked to see me crawl out under the mattress, she hugged me so tight I almost stopped breathing.
:friendhug: :whew:
Why was the room so dark? Did ur mom remove the lightbulbs?? :gucciwhat:

Okay mulatto meel fariiso.

I hate it when your parents are disappointed. I would rather have them pissed at me then for them being disappointed... You were a good kid maa shaa Allah.
