Which capital city is worse? Nigeria capital city Abuja or Addis Ababa? It obviously is, where have you seen a capital city wheer 75% live in slums
I hadn’t seen this before, but what kind of ahistorical nonsense is this? Every time you guys bend facts like this to construct these mythical narratives, it just exposes how little you understand about Somali history and how our society actually functioned. Our ancestors would speak of cannibals in the interior, wild untamed animals, even massive armies to discourage the Chinese treasure fleet that visited us. They discouraged the Persian shah Cambyses from attacking because of a bow. They would prevent Europeans from coming without a local Abaan (guide/leader).
They wanted to to discourage anyone from going to the interior of Somalia and from European and Asians going through the Red Sea and cutting them out from middleman trading in the Mediterranean and Indian Ocean.
The next century is African resources in the busy Red Sea, Arabian Sea, and Indian Ocean. Maybe a scary dangerous vibe would help discourage foreign investors and conglomerates from outcompeting locals.
This is a good thing. We need more fake reporting on brutal terrorists, pirating and some corrupt war lording.
Almost every African president in power needs to go nowAlso their president might be worse than HSM lmao

Thanks abaayoIm so late to this lol @Sigmundd ur funny as hell.
Btw a good portion of Yoruba are Muslims and Islam has been practised far longer than Christianity by the ethnic group. Some Nigerians are just deeply anti Islamic. Kemi Badenoch, the leader of the Conservative Partly, recently said this about fellow Nigerians:
find it interesting that everybody defines me as being Nigerian. I identify less with the country than with the specific ethnicity (Yoruba).”
“I have nothing in common with the people from the north of the country, the Boko Haram where Islamism is.
“Being Yoruba is my true identity, and I refuse to be lumped with northern people of Nigeria, who ‘were our ethnic enemies,’ all in the name of being called a Nigerian.”
There are actually no slums in Somalia compared to other African countries and it’s generally clean despite having a weak governmentFirst time I went there I expected really trash slums and ruins like you see on tv but it was so nice i wanted to stay forever

Imagine if we had a strong central government, we would have been one of the richest if not the richest country in AfricaWell said.
Let me show you how absurd it looks when other African countries try to belittle Somalia as a "failed state" when in reality, Somalia is outperforming them in many critical areas.
Remember that Kenyan parliament member who called Somalia a failed state? A Somali MP fired back and gave him a much needed reality check:
This just shows the lack of accountability and the tendency to deflect. When other Africans mention Somalia like this, it’s rarely about facts , it’s about masking their own national failures. Many suffer from a deep inferiority complex. They see themselves as beneath Asians, Arabs, and Whites, so they soothe themselves by imagining Somalia is worse off.
But imagine thinking you're superior while being unable to provide your population with basic services like water and electricity. That alone exposes a backwards mindset:
This is the key difference: Somalis think forward and. Whilst their mindset is stuck on yesterday and satisfied with bare minimum.
Somalia will have 80% electrician rate at the end of this year.

Despite having states in power uninterrupted by external forces and decades of large foreign investments. , they are still lagging behind
Their minds are too occupied with imagining Somalia as being beneath them to actually fix their own countries. They blame leadership, but Somalia made progress without full state support.
So what's their excuse?
