With rising ethnic tension in Anglo countries and particularly in Europe, the political discourse is shifting to the right and towards the far-right in particular. COncepts that were viewed as niche and extremist even a few years ago are now becoming mainstream.

The issue of deportations and even remigrations are fast becoming mainstream. See this prominent British politician:

All this begs the question, if things continue as they are and we all have to leave the West, where would you and your family go? Have you prepared for this eventuality? Do you have a house? A source of income independent of the West? THings are fine for now but it would be naive to at least not think of these questions while we can still prepare.

I will post more later about the experiences of a group of Somalis that have gone through this in the last 10 yrs that most people aren't aware off.

Mass deportations are not happening. Trump literally campaigned on the issue and what has he achieved? The drama with the national guard & the marines was a convenient excuse for him and other republicans to justify the low amount of deportations. Same with sending people to El Salvador. Despite all of this, he is still on track to deport less people than his dem predecessors. There’s a reason why ICE posts mugshots of immigrants they have arrested (to try and reassure republicans that they’re actually carrying out deportations) instead of posting daily figures of the amount of arrests they have made or the amount of people they have actually deported (sent to their home country and not El Salvador). Trump has always been a showman and republicans are liars in general, his antics delude his supporters into thinking actual change is occurring when it isn’t.

My point is if Trump can’t pull it off what makes you think other politicians can?

Also, rw accounts (like the account you linked) spend hours online everyday posting about immigrants/immigration. They have to believe that the schizophrenic rambles they post are actually achieving something and creating discourse irl because they’re literally dedicating their lives to this kinda content.

French politicians talking about deportations or rw memes is nothing new. They have youth wings in their parties that are constantly exposed for making racist comments and reposting memes similar to the one being discussed.

What I’m saying is don’t take the tweets of an rw slop account so seriously esp one who dedicates his life to keeping up with what immigrants do and will be seething in a few years when whatever candidate he supported comes up with an excuse to justify why they’re not deporting people like Trump/Meloni/insert any rw politician that has promised deportations but has done nothing.

I didn’t even have time to not think this applied to Somalis when I got slapped in the face with it at childhood it’s sad asf but yes this is def a problem with a lot of Somalis. I think a lot of it has to do with Somali parents not teaching their kid to value academics + using Islam by itself to raise kids.

there is nothing wrong with teaching your kid religion but on top of that you also got to be a good example and teach them the right path to pursue… and I’m sorry a lot of Somalis are lazy asf about this. that’s why when their child acts up the first instinct is dhaqan celis and I never heard of a single positive outcome from that.

When i was in xamar in 2020 i was getting stared at for wearing a normal abaya with a normal jersey hijab imagine. I think its more common now but its not the norm.

Regardless i want my freedom of expression. As someone who wears the hijab, womens rights and freedom of expression must be implemented
