She antagonized a group of women by calling them ugly, she was definitely the instigator but I couldn't stand by and watch her get assaulted by a large group. There's such a thing as disproportionate force... My aabo always told me to not interfere in girls' business, but then again he don't know 2018 like I do

I think I have experienced a lot of racism both subtle and overt.People would often hate me for my achievements and thus degrade me through the colour of my skin.Most people for some reason thought I was a voodoo worshipper in middle school for some weird reason.The most racist thing that happened to me was weirdly due to an Asian guy and an Indian.Ex friends to say the least.

Thank you. I am a 21 year old woman now, and the past doesn’t define me anymore. Sure it scares you as a kid, but you grow older and you learn from those experiences.

Those «moo» noises and stupid jokes made me start wearing a hijab earlier. And the terrorist comments made me stronger in my deen. So I took the bad and made it into something good! Alhamdullilah, all praise be to Allah(swt).

One of the few racist encounters i've experienced should have resulted in a lawsuit.

Tender age of 14 or so walking to the store. Suburbia - plenty of whities.

Took a shortcut (the same shorcut) I've done a thousand times before.
Get to the store, I'm maybe 50 feet or so from the entrance.

And a Sheriff's cop car comes to a screeching halt behind me.
GET AGAINST THE WALL NOW.

This mofo searched me & asked what was I doing in the area?

Apparently,the white woman I walked by taking the shortcut reported seeing a darkie with a handgun.

This was early-mid 2000's flip phone era.Dumb dumb thought my flip phone was a pistol

Cop roughed me up & shouted at me in front of everyone (Humiliating).

He didn't find anything of course &
apologised & sped off.

I was shook

I was walking back home and infront of me was this small white women , she suddenly stopped and looked at me holding onto her purse. I asked if something is wrong but then she replied 'nothings wrong'. I carried on walking then I came to the realisation she thought I was going to rob or attack her, i checked back to see where she was , she was walking behind me but a few distances away.
