Please can someone tell me why Somalis in Canada and in the USA are killing each other? Is the group called Super Power in Kenya still functioning in MN or Ohio? is it just North America or is it worldwide i mean are there Somali gangs in Australia and Nordic countries? I know about stabbings in London. it is sad man i have seen kids as young as 16-17 here in Muqdisho and the parents throwing them in rehab centers that are not even good they would often get beaten which does nothing but to cause them to have unsolved grudges for the parents. Somalis in Canada are just a product of their environment. They live in Gov't housing that has the worst of people living in them, with nearby schools being the worst in the area.

Everything, good or bad becomes magnified and spreads fast when we congregate together (although bad spreads faster). I've seen groups of young quran hafidhs in Toronto and I've seen gangs of troublemakers as well. There are many young Somali professionals here as well, but we put the attention on the troublemakers

I'd say the best, a Somali can do for their children is to move away from other Somalis and maybe into other muslim areas like Pakistani areas. Even cadaan areas would be better, they'd be whitewashed but atleast they're not acting like ghetto trash.

I think the root problem is that Somali parents and their kids often have turbulent relationship, this is not the case with other cultures. If the family isnt happy then children cant succeed in life.
