When I was younger I refused to do pizzacato so my fingers never devolped the callouses to pluck the bass strings for a long time.
It basically starts hurting and rubbing my fingers raw if I do it for too long.

That cadaan guy ended up dropping out of high school senior year to start his own band.
He didn't make it big yet like he was hoping.
