What if the young Diaspora started a political organization in Somalia?

These old heads are doing no good for the country and are being bought out by foreign influences for salaries less than top managerial positions in the west. I already know that alot of political posts are run by diaspora(farmajo, khaire and some mayoral positions) but it would be very interesting to see if the young Diaspora could start a political group and run for elections. Honestly any young politcal movement would be better than these warlords we have now.

The Political group must deny any involvement with the military group, while infact the military wing takes secret orders from the Political group.

I would join as long as the organization is pro confederation for Somalis and is development orientated. My view on the arms embargo is that foreign politicians don't want to be blamed for allowing another civil war to take place. Imagine causing the death of tens of thousands of Somalis would be the talking point that ended your political career? Horrifying!

What civil war??? the civil war ended like awhile ago. Only SL&PL are fighting over the disputed area and that could be resolved diplomatically. Plus Under the U.N resolution, every recognized gov is entitled to purchasing arms.

Wouldn't be a far fetched idea to be honest. It's feasible and there is precedent where Somali youth formed their freedom, transcended Qabilism into nationalism and achieved Somali autonomy and Independence with in a decade. SYL Somali Youth League.
Not very knowledgeable the intericacies of how they organized and overcame insurmountable obstacles and achieved their goals with minimum resources against super power colonists of the time ( may be someone can fill in that history) but one think for sure I'd the corrupted elders of the time except few of them were just sellouts lining up their pockets and throwing their country away for chump change

SL comes under FGS jurisdictions too. FGS currently is too weak to do anything about it. But who said it will always remind that way?
