What If the civil war never happened and Somalia became a communist state? Meaning when Siad Barre takes power he goes FULL communist. This time NO CIVIL WAR.... what’s the outcome of This type of Somalia?

No , the Somali People's Youth League would have to dispose Siad Barre first , since we don't want a second brutal outcome, removing tyrants in the making must be prioritized.

Creating one system one party throughout the country.


If we were to reach that milestone, we must take many aspects into consideration , we would first need a cultural and moral revolution , since Somalis live in rudimentary lifestyles and take matters in to their own hands , we must tackle that approach , first and bring justice if we were
to win hearts and minds, we would also remove puppets and flushing out the doctrines of Imperialism.

The Communist Party of Somali State would be formed under one state one party. Eventually, this transition will slowly emerge after its promotion , but we first need a brutal revolution if the party were to obtain complete control.
We must set examples to follow , although I do not see the soviet model of development through heavy industry with surpluses extracted from peasants as ideally applicable enough , consumer goods were left to secondary importance. Which brings poverty and sanctions.

For example In the sino-soviet split of the 1950's, Mao split from traditional Marxism-Leninism and developed Maoism.
I'm not saying Mao's interpretation of communism was great
, but what followed after him , the ideals shifting towards "Market Socialism" and legacy behind is what made China a giant economic powerhouse today.

We must have our own interpretation of communism.
forming a similar approach like "market socialism."

In this system we would develop for what is considered to be socialism with Somali characteristics or highly compatible with. Policies that are effective and with less ideologies of Leninism/Marxism .
We need to shift economically , Somalia has so many potentials.
Creating our own modernisations if we were to achieve "Market Socialism" agriculture, industry, fisheries and mining/extracting/educing resources and have a budget for the military.

In the cold war the position of peaceful coexistence between the communists and capitalists were impossible especially for an African country like communist Somalia , therefore there should be ways to commerce globally without the complex dynamics, trading with the outside world by taking the Chinese approach, nations like Laos and Vietnam are two core examples.

So we must start a strong communist tradition, instituting the Great Change
Forward and the Cultural Revolution. The Great Change Forward would be instituted to help transform Somalia into a developing society. However, we should also abolish pastoralism since they are out of reach and live lawless lives, therefore we must bring change by raising literacy rates in rural and urban areas, monitor religious activities and permit what is tolerable , eradicate backwards traditions, abolish clan affiliations , we would also make it mandatory for the marginalised clans like madhibaan/Tumaal/Gabooye/Yibir/Madow/Boon/Wardaay men and women to intermarry with their male and female counterparts from bigger clans , the state party heavily approves this approach, we will nationalise inter-qabiil couples and labelled it as "Arooska Qarniga" , we would limit the activities of each respective clan elders in that matter and their negative opinions on this would be regarded as irrelevant, matter of fact the state party would make it an obligation for Qabiilists to marry their daughters off to marginalised clans,
intermingling with one another would break the centuries long barrier.
largely this will all be in the cultural revolution, seclurism would be promoted, separating religion from the state.
The teachings and jurisprudence Sufism would be tolerated , other foreign madhabs exterminated.
We would blacklist potential enemies and eliminate terrorists as possible, large sacrifices must be fulfilled if we were to make this scenario come to fruition.

Lastly but not least , we were never part of the Arab League.

The Somali script would be a blended mixture of Osmanya/Booraame/Kaddaarre.


The constitution includes many civil rights free speech, press, worship, the right to trial, and the right to own private property.The judicial system is strong , corruption and nepotism intolerable.

We would work on the ethics of technology and ensure its usages are up to standards and prominent.
In particular we would tackle series ethical issues.
Censorship of inessential internet accessories , tolerating freedom of expression , but don't go too far , or spend a night in the Gulag.

Somalia would be extremely corrupt but multiparty. Maslax would be president today and isaaqs and hawiye's would be living In refugee camps unable to return home.
