Tanzania and Mozambique would have been expanded into and maybe they're would have captured more lands. Not sure about Ethiopia since they always get help from outsiders to save them.
Kenya would not exist. We would be wealthy but divided and would most likely have had peace and no civil war. Dervishes would be greater in number since they lost lots fighting the british and many lives would have been spared the population today would be double that of the current one.
Most importantly there would be no humiliation for Somalis at all. The wars would have rarely evolved into the dreadful ones that destroyed our public image. No piracy would occur and the noble image of Somalis would be maintained. There would be no diaspora in huge numbers and we might have even made deals to drill our oil sooner like the middle east.

Borders would look much different and a Somali diaspora would probably not exist, at least not ot this level.
Somalia wouldn’t of been a thing let’s be honest here as each tribe would be there own independent country. As Somalis by nature are tribalistic and would refuse to be ruled by another tribe.
What makes you think Hawiye, Raxanweyne and Dir/Isaaq would allow this, there would be civil war. Something like that would not last with Somalis being too prideful.

Whoever said powers give arms to would basically conquer the rest. More likely they would have armed Ethiopia and the dervish movement would be against Ethiopia rather than the brits they lose that confrontation 9/10.

The colonial era started a century before we became one people.
Before that we had multiple small kingdoms and were slowly expanding.
There wouldn't be any reason for us to annex each other forget create unions.
However it's a moot thought experiment anyways due to our cursed location near what would've inevitably become the Suez canal.
