the best way is to starve their resources by engaging in a full seige of cities surrounding them.

lock the border so those reinforcements from uganda and other countries cant come in
No trucks for aid or anything gets in or out of the city.
Basically encircle their areas. Make em desperate then engage in a battle

You need to first understand why young and minority people turn to Terrorism it’s because they have no trust in the government once the government provides all essentials then the government can start by making all mosques gov owned and regularly monitoring them and executing any Shiekh who tries to preach this cancer and have a tight security on stuff entering the country once you do all of these alshabab will naturally die out everything has a root cause fighting alshabab with weapons is wasting time because they will just comeback
