Apparently so many are. Those who have colony language as their national/official language aren't that proud of their languages. Some even lost their languageswho said Africans aren't proud of their languages?

Amharic?

So many country are tho. They don't know even their languages after taking the colony ones. Let alone using it or being proud of it. Which people are you talking about?colonial subjugation doesn't equate to hatred of their language. look at our people.
When Swahili itself is a mixture of altered arabic and (East-African) bantu language. What do you think then? Still loan wordsLoan words mean nothing in the greater linguistic sense. Somali probably has a similar amount of Arabic loan words, if not more......Swahili deserves more respect as a pure Bantu language.......
Amharic is easier than Swahilivery local, it doesn't have the geographical might but it is even easier than Ksawhili.
Swahili is not pure man... it is the definition of a mix language.
somalideeWhich people are you talking about?
Amharic is easier than Swahili. Nigga you smoking pot? I think it's one of the easiest language in the continent
That's to do with their accent or dialects and so many alteration over a period of time. Let an Arab understand A bantu speaking Arabic. You will be surprised of the outcome. Same applies to this. The purest one comes from Tanzania around the coastal Zanzibar and also Coastal Kenya. Others have changed the Swahili and added some of their languages in itYou are being wilfully ignorant. The English language is grammatically and linguistically an Anglo Saxon language origin, but olde English was totally transformed when the Normans invaded Britain. The effect Norman French has had on English is far greater than Arabic has had on Swahili yet English is still an Ango Saxon language.
As I stated before, Zwahili has a number of Arabic loan words just like Somali, Afar, Oromo, etc. That stil doesn’t still change the fact it is a native African Bantu tongue. If Swahili is a mixed language, so is Somali.
Bantu guy speaking Bantu language Swahili. An Arab would think this is alien language.
I have learned Swahili and I heard amharic speaker. Calculated it in my mind. Swahili seems easierclearly you haven't tried to learn both, Swahili grammar is way harder than Amharic niyoow.
Which somalis? Not the ones from Somalia, maybe djibouti thosomalidee
Swahili is a Niger-Congo language. English is more of a Norman-French/Anglo Saxon pidgin language than Swahili is related to Arabic. You need to read up on how languages are classified according to linguistics. The syntax, phonology, grammar, word formation, etc, of Swahili is largely Bantu in origin. That's do to their accent or dialects and so many alteration over a period of time. (Niger-congo language) that's just the categorisation when it actually started in the EastSwahili is a Niger-Congo language. Which somalis? Not the ones from Somalia, maybe djibouti tho. Official language is Somali, followed by Arabic which most don't speak. Italian was spoken past, not at the moment

(Niger-congo language) that's just the categorisation when it actually started in the East. Even tho it's altered for now
Let me show you the Origin of the language

That's what I was talking about.yes that is my point, it is weakness on their part they took the language of colonizers, we as Somalis didn't.
Are they?most of them value english and frenchwho said Africans aren't proud of their languages?
The idea that Swahili is a historic Arabic-Bantu creole language has been refuted by many linguistic scholars. Closest language to Swahili is Sabaki, a Bantu language......@MARAQ DIGAAG. You need to dug it deep to know it very well. Categorisation won't make it similar with same origins. How many afro-asiatic languages are there? Are they spoken the same and have similar words/origins most of the time?![]()
