Currently we have Hydraulic Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, etc... Can you think of any others ones that don't seem so obvious. I personally think a Doctor who specializes in Emergency Medicine is one of the most helpful ones his skills are much needed in a country like Somalia due to the instability and lack of security. The Emergency Medicine Doctor who has experience in the ER has what it takes to handle war and bombing victims.

Yes, Somalia's security is questionable. Currently but it is the Youth's chance to change that it is our duty as Somali Diasporas to be the guiding light to those who are in Somalia, but much of these diasporas are more qabilste then the ones living I'm Somalia like Dabacasir and Dahir Culusow.
Security is an issue for the government so there is not much you can do (since your aim is not a political one).

One of the worst thing that I hear about is how educated people get killed in retaliation, despite the murderer being offered to face the law. IT is as the poet says, unfortunately:
"reer hebel ninkay naga dileen, waa in laga doono
oo diktooro loo soo dilaa, dirir sokeeyaa leh"

Okay good to know. A question for anyone who can answer. How about Nutritionists? Somalis don't seem to respect Nutritionists they are the Masters of Preventative Care and Medicine. It is said most diseases have their root cause as a nutritional deficiency. Diabetes is due to a lack of Chromium, most Male Disorders kare due to a lack of Zinc or the Male Hormones, etc.. Somalis don't seem to respect Nutritionists why is that?

We need resourceful people that could let us survive in the 4th industrial revolution.

We won't get the chance to develop using slave labour like China did since everyone will be using even cheaper fully automated factories.

We need people that specialises in machine learning, machine vision, mechatronics (robotics) and in general automation.

The most prized people should be those able to plan and implement training schemes for all the above.

Even if we had those with expertise in agriculture or the environment... what can they achieve without money?

Yes, law certainly will be useful. Though, Somalia uses civil law and Islamic law rather than common law like the U.K, Canada and the States. I think common law is fairer though and goes well with Islamic Law to a point.
I want people who understand legally binding contracts and the consequences for violating the terms of those contracts. Common law > Islamic law every time. Islamic law is deeply flawed and unfair to the accused and accuser. For example if you are accused of rape in a sharia court, the accuser must bring four male witnesses and if she does, you will be stoned. At no point are you allowed to talk about the credibility of these people or poke holes in their story. Without fear of being proven wrong or challenged, nefarious people can say whatever they want. An adversarial system of law is far better than sharia where things are taken as true for no reason.

So that's why sharia is an antiquated stupid system of rules made by stupid people.

Yes, I do agree with you but you can’t really phase out Islamic law in Somalia :farmajoyaab:

We already are. We don't chop off hands for stealing, which is what the sharia calls for. We have women MPs which is not recommended by Islamic law. We're getting there slowly but I wish it were accelerated. For starters, we should have a national "f*ck wadaads and uluma" day.

Even better, we could be secular and neither anti or pro religion :gucciwhat:

:drakewtf: Isnt that what I just proposed? And how will you go about that if 99% of the population is pro-Islamic law? You need to chip
away at Islamic law and tradition. You need more music and in society. You need to get people to stop praying and worshipping. Less Islamic society is the solution.

You were being a bit on the edge of anti religion and I don’t mean pro atheism either. :hillarybiz: Just a separation of religion and state and not let that mix into politics and law. People can practise their religion in their own place as long as they don’t rely on Islamic Law in court.

We can easily have more music as quite a lot of the new generation are the ones listening and creating music even if they are fob or not though

There won’t come a time where politicians in Somalia propose making the government less Islamic. It’s the only thing everyone in Somalia agrees on. There will never be a law that casts religion in a negative light. Separation of mosque and state is a laughable proposition in a place like Somalia. That’s why you need to confront Islam head on and directly. You need to expose it for how unscientific and flawed it is. You need to tarnish the credibility of the wadaads. You need to challenge their opinions openly and mock them for the farces they are. If you don’t do this and hope for a “secular” government, you will keep hoping in 2177.
