Its sounds nice but when you critique it is bs. Its like a bubble pretty but under any pressure it pops.

I've read about it since I took world religion as a course it was interesting but the idea that one should avoid desires because it leads to sin is crazy. Buddhism views life as punishment and that's why some decide to become monks to enter Nirvana and escape the punishment of reincarnation.

Should stay a philosophy and not a religion

Based on what I remember being roughly round about informed:
(Don't quote me academically unless what I can say be absolutely proven.)
It has powerful concepts, such as using meditation to regain full mental and physical control.
With absolute focus in the now to be undistracted like they show in the martial art movies.
It is purposely avoiding desire to always be in the now. To avoid suffering by mindful self-care.

It is brought about a story of a once famous Indian prince who witnessed the world having things like sickness, poverty, and sins. And asked to himself about the cause of suffering?
Through many years of dedicating his life leaving his princehood to being a good person according to the myth with meditation, giving to the poor, and being taught/teaching wisdom, doing works of healing, he finally learned the secrets to obtaining nirvana through a pure minded longevity life. The legends had it that he was a long lived healthy in shape man able to do incredible feats.

However, I don't believe in Buddhism though it has unique concepts that are deeply mythologically rooted. But there is some scientific sound logic behind the principles.
Such as healing properties behind their medicinal medical practices and meditation.
Which can increase focus, controlled breath-work, and inducing higher mind states.

Though I don't follow it, I still respect the many different mysterious ideas from it.
So concluding: my thoughts on Buddhism - it has some wisdom to be learned from,
But I still have my beliefs that are personal to me so I do not follow it as my choosing.

It mostly about submission tho..thats basically islam. Maybe it was islam that got twisted and reshaped (like Christianity)
It is extreme it views any type of desires as bad. For example the need to have intercourse is seen as bad.

islam is more of the middle path it tells you to control tour desires and give you healthy way to act upon them.

My AA brother, we are Muslims, we've been Muslims since the beginning of Islam.. Our peoples culture and history is based on Islam.. With that in mind we do not consider or care about Buddhism.
the prophet Encourages us to seek knowledge and of course as long as its not shirk there is no sin being committed. And this knowledge(Buddhism) has no indication of shirk.... "Seek knowledge from the cradle to the grave."

The nature of desire is bad..not just desire itself
Some desires are not bad and some are.

For example the want to procreate with a woman is natural desires and when in check it helps society by bring new humans into the fold. When a person doesnt have that in check he could become a grapist or watch too much corn online.
