What are some things that use to be a huge taboo in the Somali community that became somewhat normalized?

Leaving Islam. The rise of gays and trans people among Somalis.

I remember this incident, I was really young and they would have a Somali Christian demonstration here in Sweden. The Somali community got so involved and the media ofc, the Sheikhs threw naclads left and right and people were sending death threats to them.

Before people really tried to hide their sins, the lifestyle they choose, but now it is so open.
Is sending people death threats supposed to be a good thing :gucciwhat:

Do you not want a train-wreck of a life for our kids? How boring

Um, no.

Waryaa, your main reason for marriage is a stable source of intimate relations with companionship or food for a close second. Mine is for children, an extra stream of income and half-decent sheeko.:axvmm9o: Sexy time isn't the main focus rather its a means to an end.

Girls living by themselves while their mother is is living by herself in the same city. Shame

I would say drinking, gangbanging and marrying out
Since when has drinking become normalized? :what:

I think your wrong about that one. Somalis where I live (Seattle) are still fairly religious and care a lot about reputation and honor. Of course since they're Muslims it's a sin/haram. Those Somalis who drink would be so open about it, because it would tarnish their image.

Somalis that would drink use to do it in private but you’ll see them publicly holding henny bottles for the gram nowadays

Eh how did you come to that conclusion? Please read again. I was speaking of what I saw and experienced, it doesn't mean that I agree with it.

I couldn't care less about what people do with their life tbh as long as its not a family member or someone that I deeply care for.

Why do you think those statistics are rising in the Diasporas and back home, I actually thought that they were hooyo mataalo kids since it's a general stereotypes among Somalis but it's mostly are fobs fresh from Somalia after they get their isboonsar from Addis and Nairobi doing degeneracy

Very horrifying indeed that sinning is done in the public
The somalis back home are not the clean angels people like to portray. Let's not even talk about the arab somalis.
Honestly it doesn't really matter where you are living it all comes down to parenting and the upbringing.
I've seen people who had a very strict religious upbringing back home and in muslim countries like Dubai turn out really really bad. The demographical place doesn't really define the way people act or are. I think one of the biggest reasons to this shift is social media, lets be honest. You can be in a dusty tuulo somewhere far away in Somalia and still get access to all the qashins that trend the media and try to act upon it maybe even create your own gender while you're at it.

Many youngsters are trying to be edgy and create a unique identity in order to gain popularity among other factors. You can often hear slogans like "find yourself, question your inner-self whether it is mentally, physically or even biologically". Labeling is natural and we have been doing it for centuries; categorizing things in our environment in order to make sense of things. Feeling a sense of belonging to something or some sort of group.

You know during the 1950s the teenagers in the West started the so called "rebellious phase", this time it is the wake up call for Somalis and the Muslims. Ku soo dhawoow waayaha cusub, soon we will see children beating up and ordering their parents like the cadaan people do.

Yeah I've noticed that our community's rejection/disapproval of LGBT shit is slowly being chipped away. Being Somali and gay is an oxymoron the two are mutually exclusive. I don't want us to get to the point cadaans are at right now, where even disapproving of gay shit constitutes bigotry. I get the feeling that in a decade we'll see Farax's in fucking dragqueen gear using She/her pronouns.
