We can't even know if her family are Muslims or not, maybe she wasn't thought about Islam in a proper way, maybe she's been influenced by the wrong people.. If you want to reason with her and disapprove her points do is in a respectful manner without being rude or harassing behavior.. Remember many people who accepted Islam even during the prophets time were arrogant but the sahaba convinced them Islam is the truth in a respectful way, this is how Islam grew from a tiny minority to what it is today..

But as Somali she can critique her people, in the ultimate end she wants what we all want, which is to better and fix our people/nation.. My only disagreement with her is identifying as gaal, no Somali brother or sister should identify themselves as gaal.. Even if they commit haram this shouldn't take you out of the fold of Islam, there's always a space to repent and Allah as we know is most forgiving.. Sorry I disagree bro, state and religion should be completely seperated, religion should a private matter, that way we can make sure the religion is not being misused to suppress and control people.. With that said we should actively promote Islamic values and manners into the society in a peaceful matter that doesn't involve the state or it's institutions.
