Wearing the Hijab in the UK

Wearing something that a 7th century warlord ordered on the premises/belief that men are naturally barbaric rapists, kinda like him.

Atheism is incapable of grounding a conception of morality or goodness. As far as you are concerned all behaviour is equally behaviour. When you talk of 'barbaric' you apply value standards you cannot justify with your understanding of the world. Faith exists because there is no basis for morality that emerges from the world. Equality and justice are transcendental and so are revealed to humanity. Atheism cannot even ground the idea of a concept itself. It relies of pragmatic experimentation, the fact of existence as some kind of force which has to be bent to. That is why we live in a post-ideological world, because a godless world has no ideology, no fixed identities, no basis for human society at all.

Lol they only know to give looks to hijabis that are alone, but stay in their lane when a man is with them :hillarybiz:

I want to know why this is? Why is it particularly men that get offended by the women? Is it to do with their perceived reaction to their availability?

It works the same way with women who are alone are prone to attacks, hijab or not. They're seen as weaker, and the "men" see them as an easy target :bell:

SW London doesn't have as many muslims as East London. East London is basically Bangladesh

Sxb walaalka said south west of England not London

@Adam Isaaq i don't know much about england as i'm only a student here laakin generally speaking hostility towards muslims is on the arise no matter where you live in the west. I'm also convinced that in the long run things will get far much worse that's why i believe the best thing to do is plan ahead for our eventual move back to our country. What we're witnessing is just the tip of the ice-berg , so i commend you guys for moving out it & planning ahead.

If i'm not mistaken most muslims in england live in london and because of it there're benefits that you might not find in areas where muslims are a minority. Nonetheless this doesn't negate the fact that harassment still occurs you need to remember that muslims are also a minority despite their huge populations.

I wanted to ask my hijab wearing sisters from the UK a question. I have two sisters, both of whom wear hijab. When they are with a male relative they get no problems, but when alone face a higher level of harassment. I don't live in the UK, and most of my family has emigrated. One of my sisters is in the process of moving abroad, and this was a major contributing factor in her and her husband's decision. I wanted to know about your experiences, and how you think things are going? Do you think this is the beginning of a greater deterioration, or do you think it's all overblown?
Even thou im ex hijabi, i did experienced negative tension from non-muslims. At this point now with terrorisms and isis etc, tension is rising, hijabis always get attack because they are obviously look muslim. I pray for hijabi sisters, they going through a lot.

sxb don't bother with this gaal the only thing he deserves is to be banned @Kaleel isn't it about time you did something.

I had a similar debate with him & the only thing i concluded was that it's pointless as he's what you call a bigoted individual that's interested in talking bad about islam, nothing more. The athiests on this site share a similar trait with him even though they might differ in their view points and whatnot but at the end of day the common denominator between them is that they're quite happy to express their "objectivity" despite claiming to have a relative stance. I call them wannabe atheists

The same individual said the following

all of the scientific developments were made possible by sending six year old girls to school

I'll let you decide

Yeah walaal, I work in Qatar. I've been living there for about 4 years. I go between Qatar and Hargeisa and the UK

Mashallah was it hard getting a job ? if you know websites etc that would be beneficial let me know as i was also considering applying for a job in carabaha inshallah.

You know it is not difficult to get a job. The key is to go through recruitment agencies. You have to begin adding additional certificates and diplomas. I always thought that advanced degrees were the key to getting a good paid job out here. When I got out here I realised there are people earning well from level 2 and level 3 diplomas and certificates. Go on LinkedIn and just keep adding recruiters. When jobs get advertised look at the person specification and reverse engineer it. Send speculative emails to companies, try to build up contacts. Finally, come and visit. There is a good Somali community here, and it's the kind of place where people help people get on their feet.

I didn't get that part what did you mean by it? also is there a specific website that lists the recruitment agencies, which agencies are the best to get in touch with etc. When you get the time send them to me inshallah. I need to learn arabic properly as well
