Much of the country is desert and Somali still haven't properly set up proper farms along the rivers in the south.

Puntland should be able to cover its fruit and vegetable consumption. We have to import grains and flour, but there is no reason why we are not growing our own fruits and vegtables. Literally no one imports vegetables from 1000 km away!

Puntland's governments have failed on this front.
