We have no control of who illegally fishes and dumps in our waters and it's been that way for the last 28 years. We might as well capitalize on legal investments and get paid for it.

This was just last week, I'd rather be able to hold vessels accountable for their conduct and be able to call these vessels back to our ports at anytime for inspection. These licensees are given to vessels for Tuna fishing past 24 nautical miles you buffoon. Our local fisherman don't even have the capabilities to go past that zone.
I didn't join that clown thread because I already know the economic outcome of us finally regulating our seas with no navy or coast guard present no need for me to debate with individuals that don't understand the benefits of such deals.

• China could go past that 24 mile zone with ease, and there's nothing anyone could do about it, indoyar don't follow rules of African countries. And even if they don't fish breeding patterns will be affected, severely reducing the number of fish Somalis can get.
• At-least when it was illegal, there were limits to other countries' plunder, the IC would start asking questions if 150 Chinese company ships were patrolling our waters, so the Chinese limited the number. Same with the other countries Now they have no limits.
• 30 years is far too long, he should've done a quick 3-5 year contract, see how it goes.
• And most importantly, we shouldn't even be giving licences away, Faarmajo should've used the mass funds he's getting from IC to purchase our own fishing fleets, or a navy, then we can sell foreigners our fish. It's common sense.

I don't know what he is up to with but I get the feeling farmajo is obsessed with building relationships with other countries. No other somali president has tweeted as much as he has.
