Yes he was, I think him and another dude whose name i forgot were the only two influential Somali salafi students of knowledge in the 19th century

No it was sufis and their tariqa was qadiris, salihis and shadilis

Shadiliyyah is the oldest known one from the times of Saad al din, the others im sure came after, qadiriyyah came in the 16th century, btw most Shadilis were asharis

for madhab it was hanafi then shaafi for most of history
