Abyssinian raiding parties have reached Balcad near Xamar and you guys are talking about Jijiga and Harar. They even occupied and ruled Luuq for months before the Italians expelled them from that town and have raided Raxanweyn region(Baydhabo) every year between 1891 to 1905 forcing them to pay tribute.
Raiding=conquering?
The raids were a foreign funded + they started it

None of somali occupied/inhabited lands were under abysinnians when the British came

Also yes they once reached what you claimed
After the brits handed it off + they were defeated

That don't mean they conquered anything tho
It's like claiming somalis who did raids in interior kenya have captured the region
Also why do you bootyclap for everyone other than somalis?

It's nearly impossible to permanently occupy a vast desert region like the Ogaden. They had outposts in Gursum and Jijiga and used to collect tribute from the Somali clans in the Ogaden every year and had their chiefs acknowledge Ethiopian hegemony over them. Neither the British nor the Italians had total control over their Somali territories yet no one questions their authority over the Somalis, why is that?

Moreover, the Italian, British and French governments had already acknowledged Ethiopian supremacy over the Ogaden and drew their respective borders with the Abyssinians before the rise of the Mullah.

With British and French nominal support, at the start of the 20th century Menelik’s forces left Harar and marched down the Shabelle river, plundering and capturing many villages in sight before suffering defeat at Gumar Sheel and forced to retreat by forces of Sheikh Hassan Barsane. Gumar Sheel, a location named after a defeated Amhara General of Menelik, was said to be a day’s march away from Mogadishu, in modern-day Balcad, once a fort town named Taytayley. A poet from Afgooye who witnessed the atrocities recites this poem in deep grief and sorrow, where the war was now twofold, involving both the Europeans and the Ethiopians.

When i was still a young man into the world i loved, The Ahmara came they came from Jigjiga and the confines of Awdal crossing the Ogadeen, they killed many from the Karanle they used guns against the people of Imaan Cumar they killed many from the Jidle and Jajeele Then they arrived at Jiiciyow and at the banks of the Webi. When they reached Jibbirrow they were attacked; the Muslims confronted them and fighting began in the country near Yaaqle the Mobilayn stood firm and fought with them the Magic of Gobroon defeated them But when the Amhara left the Infidels appeared coming from every corner of the world.......

Super underrated. One of my all time favourite. This guy deserves at least 3 statues inside Mogadishu. Unfortunately it’s xaraam to build statues.
Should nuke all status
Alhamdulilah he doesn't have any great for him AHUN
Religious leaders like ahmed al ghazi and Muhammad abdullah hassan unfortunately have statues standing
In the close future it will be taken down in'sha'allah

I mean bring your evidence for what you've said before bro
He doesn’t have evidence

The Ethiopians only raided the Ogaden region but they never tried to occupy it because they couldn’t. They were given the region by Europeans for being Christian colonial lackeys.

This is what we have been reduced too? Scraping British articles from 70 years ago for a sliver of information?

But if you're a fan of oral traditions (which probably don't conflict what I've said up there)
You can find elders talking about it on Internet
