A lot of countries were booming after WW2 with the end of colonialism. Any idiot in power probably would have achieved far better things than that dictator.

His only accomplishment was standardizing and modernizing the Somali language.
All the textbooks, up through the bachelor’s level were in Somali.

Still he accomplished more then the Somali government from 1960-69 which was riddled with corruption
Why couldn't the idiots in power from 1960-1969 outperform his government your free to criticize him but give the man his credit as well it makes you look bitter
You rather give all the credit to White European Communist then your fellow Somalis simply because you disagree politically,Somalis have no sense of national identity or patriotism truly a zero sum people
I really think this is the case and I attribute a huge amount of it to The implosion of Somalia in the early 90s and the resulting huge somali diaspora in the west created an opportunity for somalis to acquire unprecedented amount of skills,capital, and connections. The amount fo foreign investment,technology and knowledge brought back by the the diaspora or through thier connections is an extremely underrated factor in somalia's progress.
Rapid transformation in countries generally comes from several variables being aligned at the same time.
Somalia now has the diaspora which is producing its first real large skilled cohort with its poltical influence and wealth only gaining momentum + decentralized growth from the bottom up over the last decades with a huge amount of services accessible to people at the local level + large local somali companies which are able to co-ordinate projects with the govt ( a lot of you guys have no idea how rare this is in africa) + oil money which will give the government enough revenues to encourage centrtralization and do infrastructure projects without having to borrow billions in debt + increasing safety and intrest leading to foreign investment in somalia.

Anything bad that happened during this time was MSB's fault and anything good will be attributed to anything else but him. This must be how the mooryan and their descendants rationalize throwing us into the flaming never ending pit that is the anarchy and destruction they introduced to Somalia. I think I can officially coin the phrase
"Inherited Guilt Evasion".

A) A moral dodge by those who benefit from or are descended from the architects of Somalia’s collapse.
B) An attempt to rewrite history, deflect blame, or sanitize their legacy.
C) A failure to reconcile with the past, which perpetuates cycles of permanent instability always leading back to the original cause, their miserable and deliberate refusal of responsibility after the chimpout.

This is pure cope la ilaha . People are attributing his achievements to Soviet who did play a huge role during his rule .
Don’t get me wrong dude was a tyrant who lost his marbles during the end of his years but the man was actually competent leader .

It's sad a lot of countries we were ahead of back then have surpassed us by far. insha'Allah we can catch up though.
