Bill gates had access to a computer back when it was a technology only the military had access to. It costed millions of dollars, and his parents were wealthy enough to get it for him. He became rich when he bought a proprietary software and patented it as his own. He's not a fucking genius who became rich, he's a capitalist that was born rich and had the money to buy someone else's invention, copyright it and sell it himself to make billions. That's not genius, that's capitalist theft.

The only way you can have access to that kind of money is through theft. Simple. There are only 24 hours in a day, Bill gates makes $1369860/he while his average employee makes close to $15/hr. I didn't say that owning a two car garage, a trophy wife, and 2 nice kids was my measure of success. Ofc it's relative, a Somali nomad who can live off his flock - is successful in my eyes, a poor African farmer - same thing. Social mobility has become highly stagnant here in the West. Just look at the countries that rate the highest for it and what type of economies they generally run (bar Switzerland). I'm not condemning people for being poor I'm just saying some form of self-sufficiency is key. Now you can retort that getting fired and not being self-employed makes you insecure in your position and that's true. Nothing is guaranteed but some form of social safety net should exist.

Every other billionaire in America today has got their wealth by giving consumers something they valued more than it costs them to produce it or buy it. Oprah Winfrey became a billionaire by making a simple show that air in strategic time at 4pm..allowing women to cry and relate..she created a value and took advantage of needy desperate housewives made companies beg her to advertise for them.

You also gain a massive wealth by making other people voluntarily give it to you. ..Of course, they won’t do that unless you are selling them something they value more than the particular sum of money in each transaction.

You create the need for it..you create the value of what you are offering, and then your money will multiply exponentially..

you also make massive money by only investing in other people money..risk is zero you are not losing money.

It's not the case that all their wealth should be taken and redistributed, though, as in Communism. Islamically, I don't think you can just take all their money and redistribute it. People have a right to their property.

I do think it may be that the state should be able to engage in land reform, though. However, I think it would have to be studied to see it it's permitted Islamically.

We have to look at everything through and Islamic lens and we have to do things in accordance with Islam.
