@TekNiKo @JaalleWadani I love Odowa honesty about Galmudug. HG Dabajex bay watan while Qardho-Eyl-Ufayn are holding local elections and party campaigns and live policy debates before the constituents.

PS - I will add a security policy point to erect a great wall from saaxo via towfiq and ends in Dhinowda, we need to protect them from Galmudug and bring their asses into civilization, where no-one will threaten you in puntland, every district is busy with development and addressing they're priorities depending on their location. Welcome Dir/Sheikhaal/Marehan to Puntland borders. The great wall you see in your districts will be the last time u will deal with these dabajex carrying lunatics in the 21st century.

@Abdalla I am sick of Puntland being the Somali Saviour. It's an out-dated role imposed on us by Abdillahi Yusuf and it has hurt us more then any other clan. Maxaa naga galay somalida inteeda kale, puntland first is seen as a war-cry among our kumbayah lot who want to play this Somali Saviour role. If it wasn't for Abdillahi Yusuf extending his mandate from 2001 to 2004 on the account 'Somali baan radinaya' we would've entered multi-party politics in 2001 as it was in our 'charter' to shift immediately post 2001 into democracy. But when 'yey' did his illegal extension, it led to other leaders like cade-farole-gaas thinking it's better having the old system as it's serves they're political interest.

Deni is a true hero who has finally led us into this beautiful day and he will be remembered as the father of democracy in Puntland a big legacy. Good on you deni for not being selfish like previous leaders. Malin walbo somali baan radinayna, siyasad old ah weeye which I am suprised we have some kumbayahs still among us who are not seeing 'somali lama helin' their lost forever like we see what's happening in Galmuran. Just build the wall, it's only 300 km from gees to gees saaxo to dhinowda and let puntland people move forward rather then being held by the ankles to this dead somali project.

@Yusuf M galmudug will pay for the wall, not puntites. We will add a 'wall tax' onto their traders in Puntland to cover the cost of this expensive project. This will be great legacy who-ever achieves this policy, wa wax lagu xusi doona the one who has the boldness to do it.

@Abdalla @Yusuf M @FBIsomalia I am going to bring 'jetty' project to Las Qoray-Bosaso-Qandala-Hafun-Bayla-Eyl-Garacad. This will be fishery policy to increase our production of this expensive product, if we ensure all puntites are in the sea and catching fishes, we will find open markets in the world to sell too. We will also shift away from 'raw exports' and only do it for the current transition, I want us to 'process' our fish into different products like fish oil, vitamin pills, tuna cans, the more processing we do, the more we can exact a better value chain from it. I will ensure those factories will be located in Coastal areas so it's job creation for them.

My 'guri iyo qof' program will be banking reforms to introduce mortgage lending to the market to kick-start a housing boom and home ownership among locals in major cities of Qardho-Garowe-Bosaso-Galkayo-Badhan-Buhoodle. Like my slogan says I want each individual in Puntland to have his own property before he dies so he can transfer wealth to the next generation. This will also create construction companies, door makers, window maker, carpenters, electricians, plumbers all get net added jobs with every construction. It will lead to a boom sector.

I will instruct 'hawalas' to ban remittance for Puntites that are not 'elderly/disabled'. No more will an able bodied puntite get remittance, it will be illegal under my future Puntland. Remittance creates laziness. This will be apart of remittance reforms. I will instruct 'hawalas' to switch to banking model not 'money wiring'. Each puntite must have his own bank account.

All politics is local. I love how the local party leaders were invited instead of the national party leaders. Puntland is learning from the mistakes from other 68iq Africans in their democratization process. The future council members are the ones that will take the local decision makers, not the national party leaders. The audience was very critical and asked tough questions

I agree politics should be decentralized and members of each party go back to their constituent and campaign, hear their concerns and formulate policies. Infact I wud love a decentralization of of PL duties towards local councils especially around policing-health-education-and sanitation so we can compete in Puntland to see who has the best government services.

Right now it's very puntland centric control which I am against as it ties us all to the center performance. When we are decentralized, it can lead to us learning from each other where we succeed and where we fail. May our 9 states and 54 districts be free to compete. When we decentralize, PL will have data references on who is performing the best and use that as blue print to lift up other areas not performing. But when it's centralized you can't do that.

When PL adopts multi party elections under 1P1V will the president still be chosen by the elected 66 seat state Parliament or will the president himself be directly elected by the voters?

I think they using a national election model termed the 'presidential election' every 5 years and local elections are separate and for district council control only and has no say in state elections. Say Kaah wins Qardho in the local elections, in the presidential election they may vote for Mideeye and this can happen across all Puntland 54 districts in state elections. U cud have local districts with different parties in control in comparison to what their state party preference is.

From what I gathered from @FBIsomalia it will be a mix of local n state elections. The parliament of Puntland will be up for grabs in presidential elections and depending on what you secure in terms of vote will be your party share of the parliamentary seats. There is also a 'third party' and since PL elections are very tight, this 'third' party will be the one who breaks the hung parliament situations.

I personally think it's unwise to have a third party and we should have 2 major parties and 2 minor parties so at least the minor parties still have to compete for the scraps left by the major parties.

@InaShaqalle as @FBIsomalia said this is a pilot election to select which parties become official. Once the pilot is done, it will be rolled out across all Puntland districts and we will officially have 3 major parties that are legal. We are at the stage of legalizing Puntland Parties thru voting. Each party has a 'xubin' from all 9 states of puntland, they are sent to their district to campaign for the party. Like right now in Qardho, they all osman mahmouds in various parties but that's cause it's qardho and that's the constituent. In EYL it will be different story, all the members debating will be Issa Mahmouds but they will be in all the various party also. This will happen eventually across all Puntland 54 districts.

They still haven't really reached on what the election mechanism will be such as first past the post or 'porportionate' sharing off seats based on what each party secures in the votes. There is still no census on the districts and only estimation models. What will be the MP ratio to population isn't available as that will determine how many MPS will be in PL parliament and also local district councils.

Somaliland did it 4 years ago

Bullshit. PL had in it's charter in 98 to head towards democracy while your ass was in habar vs habar wars so stop lying to people. We got delayed because we spent 2001-2004 extending abdillahi yusuf mandate as he created the SFG u see in Hamar and Cade Muse presidency was busy funding and sending soldiers to Mogadishu.

You also feed lies to your kids about SSDF. Siyad feared SSDF the most and wanted us to cut a deal, he wasn't prepared to offer u a deal cause your a weak clan waryaa fall back. If it wasn't for aideed opening up the southern front on siyad, your ass was in refugee camps in harshin. Who do u think u r sirlancelot, this is DR osman not your silly SL kids on the spot like @mr steal your naag

All you mention here is correct, as what info clear to me. Now we will wait when 54 Districts elections finish next year.

@FBIsomalia I hope this party rounds of legalizing our 3 top parties is where it ends and no more chances for opening up new parties like that banana republic called Somaliland. Those guys had UDUB when rayale was there and Udub is defunct now and their called Wadani. These guys change party when a new leader comes. Plus they add 4 years to each president since Rayale to Silanyo and Muse Bihi will copy that tradition of delaying elections.

They failed to hold local elections since 2005. This is the worst democracy I've seen, I am sure @mr steal your naag would have to agree. PL is the only region to hold elections on time, this is our legacy. Nowhere else in Somalia does including Somaliland. Come at me waryaa, I'll bite your head off
