Because it essentially means an independent woman. Humans are social creatures we all want other people to rely on whether it's family or partner to fulfill our needs. Saying you're an independent woman is toxic because you're convincing yourself you don't need love but everyone does and it's normal. Also, it's extremely harmful how it's mainly used by women who are ethnic minorities who feel unwanted and trapped into having an inferiority complex.
