Actually yes. If It were possible to throw all the al shabaab guys in say Iraq, then I'd do it in a heartbeat. Matter fact if it were possible to remove all the corrupt politicans and terrorists from Somalia, I'd do it in a heartbeat. These forces are whats holding yhe Somalis back as a people.

Clearly you don't know basic tarikh of the region. Osama Bin Laden wasn't a militant anti shia and if anything he was indifferent to the Shia. He was the one who scolded Zarqawi for massacre of Shias in iraq. So in 2006 which is pre syrian civil war (the conflict that permanently split sunni jihadis and shia jihadis) its not entirely out of the relm of possibility that Al Shabaab and Hez had links.
