Igmasho is responsibility, for instance you may hear "Qofkaas hawshii loo igmaday ma uusan fulin" meaning The person did not fulfill his responsibility. If I'm not mistaken it was initially used for when you appoint a person to make your case.

He said "Xogteyda" not "Xoogeyga". Xog translates into "the actual reality of an issue". So the meaning would be "If you do not know the actual state of my affairs, have you not heard the gossip regarding me?".
