XSM did a commendable job it makes it easy for somalis living in kenya to get their visas processed better so that they can do business well rather than their visa being rejected and alot of their vested business interest being put at risk.

Do you know that Kenya and Ethiopia have special relations and that they have lesser visa restrictions.

One thing I know is somalis will benefit alot by accessing the EAC market.Because Somalis are not only consumers but they provide goods and services.

Joining means your visa will be processed quicker and goods and sercices can move from xamar to Nairobi to Kampala to Congo.

Somalis have suffered alot due to the poor foreign policies of kacanka and the previous govts which Farmajo wanted to emulate.

Under kacanka the somali border was shut and the kcabka turned a blind eye on bula xaawo which thrived due to contra band.
That is exactly what Farmajo was aiming at close the kenya border and turn a blind eye so that goods and services would only enter through bula xaawo and ceelwaaq.

These Unions begin as economic unions but end as political unions because you can't have one without the other, just as @bidenkulaha posted. Everyone wants the economic benefits, but no one wants the political baggage that will come

I would support EAC if the EAC was going to be like ASEAN in Southeast Asia. EAC however wants to go and be even more unified politically than even the European Union since the ultimate goal of EAC is to be a single federal country called 'East African Federation'. Somalia no longer being a sovereign country is unacceptable
