UAE to build Pipeline linking Assab to Addis Ababa

Well said.

Bro, I told you. The best blessing for Somalis is to remain on the sidelines of global development and watch the world go by and make mistakes on our behalf.

UAE, will take you to international court for anything and everything. Waa Naago!!!

The best thing that exposed Dubai’s intentions was through their declining economy. They boomed too quick and now they are going bust.

Somalis are starting to see this act of desperation and aggression from the UAE— willing to do everything and anything to get their hands on Somali Hanti in their portfolios.

Somalia’s best gift and protection was choas.

The UAE has created a rift between MJs and Isaaq by promising to build their ports, all to sideline them and pit them against eachother, because they know the Indian Ocean will be future ocean of trade. And they need a military base to expand their influence at our expense.

Inshallah Isaaq and MJs wake up and start working together. Cisse in Djibouti as starting to lose patience with many Somalis, the dhulqhad and tolerance we have for Reer Djibouti has always been high.

Reer SL and PL have forgiven Reer Djibouti countless times and it’s about time IOG wakes up and makes partnerships with us, or Djibouti will turn into a ghost town that only exports clothing to Ethiopia.

Reer Djibouti need to sideline their mucaarnimo agaisnt xamaar. It’s unsustainable for Djibouti to expect its growth to be tied to Somalis decline.

@Kingcobra

Remember when I told you Assab would sideline Djibouti and DDSI oil will be shipped through Eritrea and transported by UAE military ships through the Red Sea.

The talks in Ethiopia weren't just about peace, they are about the UAE fully attacking Somali Hanti and assets.

-They sidelined Berbera for Assab.
-Took Djibouti to Court while getting IOG upset with Xamaar.
-Building a pipeline in Eritrea, through Somali and Tigray regions.
-Gave Chinese the first ever concession to build a Gas Plant to clean cheap oil from Ethiopia.

The writing is on the wall. Chinas first every state visit to UAE wasn't about bringing Chinese tourists, it was about securing Chinese interests inline with the UAE in the horn of Africa. 5 days later Addis and Assab visit to Dubai wasn't a coincidence, it was a move designed help China get payback for Chinese killed by ONLF rebels a few year back.

The games the UAE is playing is divide Somali Oil and Gas assets with China and use rivalry ports to ship our Hanti.

Somaliland has one more Ace in their pocket, and they must seek Federal Autonomy within Somalia and make peace between Puntand and help Dhulbantes living in the Nugaal Basin get access to seismic concessions.

Between Isaaq, Dhulbante and MJ, there's 100billion barrels of Oil in my opinion yet to be found.

The AUE is looking to expand its Portfolio, and this includes leasing Socotra to surround any offshore Puntland oil findings. Create a deep rivalry between Bosasso and Berbera. Get a win against Djibouti by having IOG change policy with Xamaar. And last but not least, try to sabatoge turkish companies from entering into Oil and Gas deals with Somaliland.

If Puntland and Somaliland don't find ways to unite through oil concession integration, the entire HORN of Africa will be compromised by Chinese/AUE interests.

Excellent analysis :nvjpqts:

Saudi Arabia is jumping on the Eritrea bandwagon, Saudi FM visited Asmara yesterday.

We my friends have dodged a UAE bullet. I am even more conviced now we will milk Qatar

Berbera will be greater than Assab or Massawa, as soon as jeegaan cuts the crap and collect all odeyaal, siyaasiin and fly their asses to Xamar

From what I've gathered, this pipeline is to import oil from the middle east and not to export ogaden oil

Djibouti can’t diversify its economy outside of a Port and Miltary outposts.

IOG is stuck between a rock and hard place. If he really wants to be a great Somali leader, he should invest in a Djibouti state owned Oil and Gas company that will build gas plants for SL and PL.

His mucaraadnimo towards Xamaar has nothing to do with Asaab, he’s been too comfortable in benefiting from Somalia’s collapse. Somalis will always support Reer Djibouti, but they need to put their money where their mouth is and start building state owned mining and gas companies that get first mover access into Somalia.

Djibouti has no investments outside of Djibouti, and if they don’t use their revenues to invest in Somali Hanti, they will turn into a ghost town in 10 years.

Djibouti made a big miscalculation kicking DP world out, pushed the Emiratis right into the hands of Eritrea. And due to the lawsuit they have to pay UAE the worth of half their GDP. Djibouti placed themselves into a corner, the isolation of Eritrea was a huge advantage for them which is why they are working hard to stop the sanctions from being lifted.

Go educate yourself on the terms of the contract and tell me kicking them out was a mistake. Uae's oil is drying up and their goal is to get their hands on every red sea/ indian ocean port in order to suppress their potentialto prop up jebha ali

I believe during the last 10 days of Ramadan, a secret meeting happened between Isaaq and Xamaar.

It makes no sense for SL and PL to sit around and take this abuse from UAE.

Too many Corrupt Odays have banking ties with the UAE.

The UAE has already started whining to Expats for moving their money out of the UAE.

Our leaders would rather put a few million in Dubai banks, instead of getting billion into Somalia.

What were the terms of the contract?

And they were still making bank being Ethiopia's main access to the sea, regardless of oil

Please tell me how else will Djibouti diversity it’s economy?

There’s only two sources of income.

-Ports.
-Military base leases.

There’s no oil, no banking, no Agro and no minerals.

UAE wants to kill two birds with one stone and it seems Cisse are too comfortable with the status quo to see it.

Pitting Xamaar and Djibouti agaisnt eachother is a bait that Cisse can’t take. If Cisse want to survive in the next twenty years, they need to integrate themselves into a Somali trading bloc.

Open state owned companies that can raise revenue and invest in Somalia.

Just look at the Garcaad port, the equipment was exported to Djibouti and smaller dows took them to PL. Djibouti, needs to invest in Somalia to survive, instead of banking on Somalis choas.

@Deactivated do you think any Somali region inside of Somalia will produce oil within the decade?

No, but we will keep watching from others in Africa getting burned by poor decision making.

Learning from the Corruption of other African countries is our godsend.

There’s too many oil wells in Somalia. The issue is who will drill first. There’s oil in Mudug, Nugaal, Togdhere and offshore Jubba.

We can’t depend on Oil because we are seeing what it has done to Arabs. Somalis need to focus on low hanging fruits like having a country that is 100% Islam oriented tourism—alcohol free country.

Farming, fisheries and Islamic banking will help Somalia greatly.

Oil should be the last thing to focus on.

Dw world is a minority stake holder( 33%) to Djiboutis 67% yet because of this contract signed by a corrupt official they had the last say on all management decisions and forbade us from building new ports on djiboutian soil. Somali ports are in better position than theirs hence their attempts at suppressing us. Somaliland is still asleep tho, bless their hearts.

I agree with this but you're greatly exaggerating the prospects of our future demise. The ftz will bring in 200-300 mill in its first year online(2020) and almost 4.5 billion by 2035. 10 billion cubic feet of gas will still be exported through our ports. An air/sea transhipment port is on its way.(where all the money is, not xabashi traffic)

And there's 3 billion worth of gold with only 2 out of 10 sites having been explored.

When it comes to agriculture, we're gonna have to work something out with Somaliland and produce food on a mass scale. It'll benefit us both

Just look at the Geo political assault on the Horn of Africa during Q1 and Q2.

My position is that Reer Djibouti have been too complacent with Somalis chaos and benefiting from 30 years of instability.

The Djibouti passport is the most sought after passport by Somalis to do business in China. Djibouti will basically become Somalia’s Las Vegas and second work horse to help bring in equipment into Somalia.

The second most profitable trade route for Djibouti is having their smaller merchant boats, go from Djibouti to Somalia.

Djibouti can’t compete with a Somalia when we stabilize, Djibouti needs to integrate into Somalia and in anyway it can, and show full soldiery with xamaar, Garowe and hergaisa.

Wheres this 10billion cubic feet story coming from? These estimates are based on Somalia snoozing at the wheel.

Djibouti can’t compete with Eritrea without investing in Somalia. IOG needs to quit being a mucaraad with Xamaar and thing of a 20 year plan that involves Somalia/Djibouti economic integration.

Economic integration with a country that's still unstable and at war?Integration with a country where the president doesn't control a thing outside the capital? Cmon dawg. Fix your problems first. You're talking about djibouti with contempt as if we made you kill one another. Nadhaaf

"Benefiting from 30 years of instability"

Im sorry bro, we should've put all our plans on hold cos yall wanted to play real life call of duty.

Security first and then proceed to development

Dude, let’s not list the amount of Dhulqaad Reer Somali has to endure because of IOG.

It isn’t Djibouti’s fault that somalia is in a mess, I never said that.

What I’m saying is that Djibouti needs to make a 180 and focus on stabilizing Somalia and integrating as soon as possible.

IOG can sit on the chair until his grave and pass it to his child if he likes, but he needs to untie noose on the 1 million people in Djibouti and drop this nonsense with Xamar.

Somalia is the older brother of Djibouti infact if we look at history;
from Djibouti's independence in 1977 till 1982 Somalia provided $6 Billion in Aid&Investment which in today's money is $25 Billion.

If they are smart Djibouti will again receive more than ever before, they could supply thermal gas to North West Somalia and electrify the whole region.

Somalia could bankrupt Djibouti if they don’t integrate. It makes zero sense for Reer Djibouti to not have a 50 year plan with Somalis. They speak our language and contribute into any Gobol.

Im paying close attention now to the relationship between Kigame and IOG.

I think both are working to kick out the french Gumaysi.
