Culusow sold Somalia to the West, UAE and Bantu African countries. Only way it would happen is if we had better leaders who actually cared about non-existent Federal Republic of Somalia and not their "tol"
China could've built 5 modern deep water ports for us and thousands of miles of road within 5 years but we'd rather keep taken IMF debt so these leaders can build more hotels in Kenya and Turkey.

The French are already neocolonizing west africa or Dijobuti, you want china to be there as well
difference between France and China is that China will develop your country. If you have good leaders you can avoid being colonized and benefit, similar to what Egypt, Vietnam, or Maylasia are doing with China. China is building their infrastructure and investing in their countries, even giving them loans and for them to side with China when it comes down to UN voting etc. They get all these benefits without having to comprise their integrity and soul. They don't have to pass LGBT+ laws or change their way of life.
France doesn't want it's old colonies to develop, it steals their resources. It forces them to use the Franc as their central bank currencies. It even forces them to use French as an official language. They have virtually no sovereignty, having no sovereignty is worse than death. You are left in a perpetual cycle of begging and reliance on the West due to your leaders selling their countries. Somalia suffers from this and has since 1991.

We are in the middle of a Cold War between western and eastern powers. I agree China can develop your nation quickly but the nation has to be smart.
the US can give us debt relief and we are getting help from them exterminating al shabaab. On top of that we are at a fragile state so itβs best to stay close with our allies instead of flip floppin in my opinion
