Sxb, let’s be realistic. There is no “We” as Somalis who will give their loyalty towards a nation, we’ve clan enclaves who will prostitute themselves to whichever country can militarily support them to dominate other clans. If only Somalis can put aside their clan differences and fight Alshabaab as a united entity, they wouldn’t need African Union forces or American drones. That will never happen, why do we blame others for our stupidity? The buck stops with us and we are as disunited that now, the UAE along with Saudi Arabia are making moves to convince both Somaliland and Puntland to declare a union and succeed from Somalia because the federal government is closely tied to their rivalries Turkey and Qatar. A nation of corpses.

If only it was that simple sxb. 90% of the fault lies with us but if our civil war was fought out to it's conclusion we would've had someone consolidating the majority of Somalia within a decade of 91.

Instead, whenever a single faction got too powerful some foreign power interfered and reset the board.

The Somali millionaire didn’t fall from the sky, his clan will be armed and what would the other millionaires from other clans do? Or, the clan that offers Country A some of their resources and infrastructures or Clan D who offers the neighbouring countries the right to extract minerals and fish the sea in their regional governments in exchange for arms? Not a good idea. Keep arms/guns away from the civilians and clans.
