Yeah here in my part of London I see somalis but in my area somalis are spread out thin so I had to mingle with Arabs and South Asian and even Eastern Europeans for some reason as my community was packed full of them

Could I make a slight adjustment: UK vs US: former empire (almost mortus) vs bequeathed empire (reached its apex, and at its dusk days). Now, genuine comparisons, and contrasting could be made.

Having lived in both, each brings its virtues.
UK: Civilisation, and class.
US: Might, and mass (As in economy, tech. and military, and as in land, and population).

By a mile, US wins.

me too. I've spent about a decade going to a somali masjid/ dusgi and a heavily somali populated school. I've never had to interact with gaalo unless it was a teacher, which were cadaan/ asian. I didn't even interact with them a lot.

Many Somalis from the UK don't realize how serene Minneapolis is compared to London. Minneapolis is a big city with a population less than Bristol in the UK. A lot of the people know other and their is space on the streets. Most people from Minneapolis hate it when they go to New York because it's too crowded and you feel like you know nobody no matter how long you live there. Now lets compare that to London which has way more people than New York. Somalis in Minnesota pretty much all know each other or know of each other in some way. We are also not extremists and are cool with the madows here. It's way safer.
