I once made a family group chat and they all quit lol. Family does not equal friends lol.

I only do group chats with friends, with family it doesn't work lol.

Also I noticed the somalis who are super into their family like that, have no NON FAMILY FRIENDS I consider that somcel/somali incel/friendcel ,when you ask them who they hang out with etc. it's all their 'cousins'

The most ridiculous statement I have read today, people can be friends with their cousins especially if you grew up together and are around the same age, I have cousins friends and have friends outside of my family.

My family group chats are actually life. Everyday someone gets into a argument and the response are just too hilarious. Then you have this guy screaming Norsk ruining everything!

I got marriage proposals from some guys through there. They new a lady who knew somebody and who was my family member who would revel on the group chat "Farax has 200 Houses in Africa, he want to marry you"

I only have an immediate family group chat but other than the odd duco video, it's mostly someone randomly messaging to say they're coming over, the odd graduation picture, someone asking to turn the hot water off, or my lil sister posting pictures of her painting and getting over exaggerated compliments lol.

The mandem group chats though memes, GIFs, clowning, girls, bets, footie, more clowning, throwbacks, more girls and more clowning.

-the aunty who is always first to wish us a jumu'a mubaarak using almost always the same picture with a du'a
-the cousin who always leaves the chat but is forcefully added back
-the admin-uncle announcing he added such-and-such to the group and we should all welcome him/her
-me who hasn't opened the chat for over a month because I lost track of all the voice notes and instead browse sspot to get my daily somali fix

We have one with our siblings only, in an iPhone gc. My folks are empty nesters, and no ones in the same place, so it’s useful for keeping tabs and it’s fairly active. We text or call the folks separately.

We opened one where we added our folks once. It was dead within the week
