They are seen as true citizens of the country and racism isn't prevalent. There are large afro arabs in oman of tanzanian and zanzibari origin. In gulf countries one of their most celebrated singers is afro arab named abdu rabu idris.

Yeah some Somalis call themselves Arabs (or claim Arab heritage), even beyond the two clans you mentioned.
As far as the Somali name, and singling out Isaaq and Darood for the reason of "our name being doomed". We all know that during the last 30 years, as our name was being shat on, they were not the only one, neither the main reason, for the Somali name being tarnished.
