Guys we should never be certain about our own brains and mind. We should have an open mind and suspend our egos. ALL Truth belongs to Allaah swt - Periodt! Historically, two documented Abrahamic religions have shown to have a blind eye- in the midst of their deep dogma and human delusions. I wonder- as Muslims- what is our blind eye dogma that we do not know? That ONLY Allaah swt knows?

The first Abrahamic religion- Religion of Moses/Musa PBUH showed that Musa pbuh was revealed to his blind eye. When asked Who is the most knowledgeable person on earth- Musa pbuh said- it is him. Because- why- not? After all he is a prophet, and God did speak to him. He was so sure, in the end, he realized he was taking his own intellect for the truth. It happens that a person named Dhu al-Qarnayn was the man who had more knowledge than he had- so this was a humbling point for Prophet Musa pbuh.

Then- Nassars- aka Christians came later- and became fervently religious and dogmatic. They are so sure about their own religion and intellect, they miss a huge Falsehood in their religion by including a blasphemy of Who Jesus and God is. How would we know the falsehood if we are lost in translation? For us Muslims- Because Quran -which was revealed later- told us. Furthermore, if the New Testament Bible did not come- the Christians would not have been as smart as The Jews who had the Old testament of the truth!

Quran trumps both New and Old Bible, but i have a feeling-- we could easily be missing some major truth because we are too busy thinking we are "right" and absolutely truthful! We may have a blind eye. Either way- the route to ALL truth is humility to your Lord- Allaaah Subhanaalaah!

Allaah swt is the Haq!

if you can't be certain, you can't be certain about Islam. so a person with imaan should have less imaan? if you've been studying the Quran and you are full of imaan, you should go to a nightclub and drink alcohol to lower your imaan?

as was discussed on another thread recently, the West has largely lost what religious faith it had and now.... you have kids being taught all kinds of filth in schools, the destruction of family, all kinds of terrible things.... all sorts of degeneracy and loss of morals....

what people need is more imaan, not less, people have to have the courage to have certainty in their hearts and not any nihilistic mindset of lacking certainty.

Thats a stretch huuno. My thread is about -what truth are we as Muslims missing? We are so sure of our deen, over confident. Is that to our detriment? Should we always be humble?

also btw

https://islamqa.info/en/answers/12295/what-are-the-conditions-of-la-ilaha-illa-allah

"

What Are the Conditions of La Ilaha Illa-Allah?

The conditions of La ilaha illa-Allah are: knowledge, certainty, submission, following, truthfulness, sincerity and love."

Certainty is one of the conditions of La Ilaha Ill-Allah. So if you don't have certainty, you might not even be a Muslim. This kind of idea being promoted can easily move people towards apostasy and so it is very wrong to say that kind of thing.

you say "we" in reference to Muslims but if you don't have certainty, you might not be part of any "we" in relation to Muslims.

It was prophet Khadir(AS) who had more knowledge than prophet Musa(AS), not Dul Qarnayn.

To be honest, I think there is something wrong with your imaan. If you have a disease, you should try to get it treated, not to try to spread it to others.

I have one million percent confidence in Islam and we should. Allah already told us Islam is perfect.

This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion.

-Surah Al-Ma'idah 5:3

If you are suffering from a disease in your heart, then I wish well for you in that I hope for you to have your disease treated. But you must not try to spread it to others.

Amazing read @Basra :2tjlv3e:

I have come to realize that the more knowledge I acquire in Islam and in science the more I understand how much I do not know. It is very humbling to recognize the vastness of the world's knowledge and the limitations of our own understanding.

May God keep us humble and open-minded, so that we may continue to appreciate the beauty and complexity of his deen and his creation.
