It's more like weak governments with weak databases on citizens. Vetting is difficult from those countries.

Saudi Arabia and the GCC countries are relatively advanced with detailed databases on all their suspected terrorists and criminals. While in Sudan, Somalia, Yemen, Syria, Libya you have a bunch of Al Qaeda wannabes running around freely.

Uh vetting has been done succesfully from those countries for decades. He simply just used the list of countries on visa-waiver exemption list, so he can argue against the inevitable court challenge.

For a forum of Somalis, its amazing how little you guys seem to know about immigration.

Do you think recent Somali refugees resettled in the States are coming from Xamar? None come directly from Somalia and vast majority are resettled through UNHCR from camps. Same thing for Yemen, the refugees are coming from third countries and via the UNHCR. Syrians already faced the toughest vetting process possible because of a House bill passed last year.
