I recently found this great song from the gabay tradition in the 1960s or 70s
I would like someone to translate the song to English to gain a perspective on this style

Someone in the comment section mentioned that the gabay/tix was composed in 1952, so the 50s it is.

According to the comments, the hyena represents the colonizers and the sheep Somalis.
Some are saying the hyena could be Ethiopia, and I read a few comments saying that hyena is Somaliland loooool

Basically, the sheep is saying nicely: GTFO my country, whilst the hyena is saying something along the lines of "stop acting hard to get, we're all brothers"

If you still want the full translation, I will try another time when I'm not so tired.
