In the context he using it means he like it the story.
Dhidid baaba iga soo da’ay, sida sheekadani xaraarada iiga jabisay.
Interpretation
The story has touched me deeply, I enjoyed it.
Note:
He is using metaphors, therefore I can’t translate directly into English. It would sound weird. I just paraphrased it.
a literal translation would be along the lines of
"flowing sweat has poured off of me, the way this story has broken my xaraarad(craving)"

Even though to us (atleast my surrounding) do differentiate tebid and xiiso
Tebid = missing something/someone
Xiiso / Xiise = interest, desire something/ someone or having passion for something/someone
Tebid: It is mostly used in waqooyi-galbeed and we use it to mean missing someone's /something's presence
Waxaan tebay xaafaday = I missed my home.
Waxaan tebay shaah bigays = I missed black tea.
Just some examples.

Bigays, cadays, and cusbays are all types of tea ☕️. Cusbays is tea that is prepared with a touch of salt added to it. It's a favorite among rural folks.
I have never heard anyone say "shaah madow." I have heard "caleen madow"= “dark tea leaves” though.
You can use it if you want; most people speak English and will understand your point.

I'm not sure if it's common in other parts of somalia but in somaliland/waqooyi we say bigays to mean black only when referring to tea.

No, Xaraaro in Somali is a separate word from Arabic حرارة, they sound similar but aren’t related. It is like how poisen means suun in English but kuluun in french
