Too much jealousy in the Somali community in the diaspora.

Is this a thing?

There's just an earthquake happening under our feet. 70,000 children arrived from war and many were born here. 98% of mothers and fathers landed in public housing with the same people they ran away from. And now the same children are rising out of poverty and earning success without the help of Qabil, Reer or middle class parents--just hardwork and illahis favours.

The only people worried about jealousy are the neefs who think success should only happen to them, or when they fail it's because of an evil eye or someone else.

Be greatful if you have any successful Somali friends who got themselves out of poverty.
