How can they build a road in a region where they have zero influence? Without the Puntland government, who will implement the project? Who will ensure that the money isn't spent on a building a villa in Dubai? Does the FGS actually care about any of this?

The FGS is blatantly violating the constitution by circumventing the Puntland government with these random cash transfers. They sent 150k in cash that no one asked for to some Bosaso highway authority guys when there are people starving to death in the south and roads/bridges there that have been left neglected for decades, not to mention the massive threat that is Al Shabaab. I've said it before but I'll say it again: the FGS believes that federalism is a larger threat to Somalia than Al Shabaab.

The FGS has been frivolously throwing massive amounts of money around in Mudug, Bari, and apparently Nugaal this week not to 'build roads' but to sow discord in Puntland. Their intention is not to help us but to buy out our elders and civil servants to bring us down to their pathetic level so they may conquer us.

Unfortunately for them, Puntland is not for sale. If they can't afford Galmudug, what makes them think they can afford the fathers of federalism?

I’m going to assume you are trolling. I get there is no law and order down there but what the FGS is doing is a clear case of corruption and illegal in whichever way you look at it. You don’t pay random people large sums of money to undermine state institutions....


The reason south of PL is a failed state is precisely because of actions like this in which mooryaans disregard the law.

The crooks wired 150k to unknown men to build a road. Why not do it through PL or the Puntland Highway Authority Agency?

Are three men going to build a road on their own? Which road? Was there a call send for construction companies to present their construction proposals?
