The point you mentioned about Prussia and German unification doesn't hold water. In Somalia, unity was enforced by external forces - The West. In germany, you had one side overpowering the rest, whether diplomatically or militarily. In Somalia, if one qabiil was to overpower the rest, raaciyad edeb leh baan noqoni lahaa but unfortunately that hasn't happened. Wadan walbo wax isu keena baa jira, nidaam jujuubiyay ahaadaa ama cahdi shacabweyne mideeyo. Ilaahay baan kugu dhaariyee, Soomaali maxay heshiis ku yihiin oo isu keenaa? Waa Talyan iyo Ingiriis uun baa na gumaystay. And this artificiality is something many other African countries have in common (I believe the whole continent should be broken apart and borders redrawn, kii tunka weyn cidda ha u haro).

Shisheeye never would allow one clan to overpower the rest but they’ll also not allow distinct states with clan borders to develop. So we’re stuck in a merry go round.

But I think we might make it regardless. We just need a lot of money. That way the relatively smaller clans propped up by foreign powers can be bribed. We need to pump some oil ASAP and also need the arms embargo lifted

You're right. Qabyaalad in Saudis and khaleejis is 10x worse than what we have in Somalia. Over there, in classrooms they sit in qabiils, Subayci will sit with subaycis, and Cutaybi will sit with Cutaybis. And the clan wars they used to engage in were on another level. What made them docile and accept to be ruled by one family? Money, and lots of it

If anything, the Europeans carved up ardu Somal into 5 pieces: British (NFD & Somaliland), Italian (Somalia), French (Jibouti), and British & French for Somali Galbeed, but then, you already know that, do not you? You are not disputing any of that, are you? Had Bevan's grand plan had been realised, your theory might have borne some legitimacy.
