Kenya is the biggest miss in Somali history. There would be well over 120 million ethnic somal rn if we kept pushing. Keep of British colonisation for like 2 decades and Kenya would've been ours.

There are multiple factors that need to be taken into consideration to understand the rising intolerance and prejudice some members of the bantu community harbour towards Somalis. One factor to take into consideration is Anti-Muslim bigotry. Islamophobia could very well play a role in the hatred and xenophobia displayed by some members of the Bantu community towards Somalis. The vast majority of Bantus are Christians. Mistrust and hostility often arise due to theological differences regarding Jesus.

Another role to take into consideration is the economy. Rising inflation, economic decline and job loss increase anger and resentment. Many people will target racialized or religious communities as a scapegoat to cope with their hardship and misery. Sadly, many racialized people are the biggest racists themselves.

I have to agree with HabarSteven12, socioeconomics plays a huge role in violence towards minorities, you just have to look at South Africa, they burn small businesses owned by fellow Africans.

In contrast to Europe, you might not get the violence to the same extent but I've experienced issues with getting a job in the past, I sent out 20 CVs with my name and not a single reply back, I sent the same sv but with a white name and got 50% success rate.
