Doing this type of nonsense will push them towards the republicans and when that happens you’ll see armed police harassing people in the inner cities and judges giving out long sentences like they used to to do in California when I was growing up

Poor and neglectful parenting bad street thug life culture imposed on the impressionable next generation is a cause for this
Between these two shootings at high school graduation ceremonies, a viral brawl between somalis vs a couple of cadans during a high school graduation ceremony in St cloud last week, the shooting at a mall yesterday where a 15-year old boy died and not to mention being the faces of fraud, government abuse (not talking about only the feeding our future trial but also the various people that have arrested in the last 3 years for medicaid, daycare, autism center fraud that costed hundreds of millions in total) and more crime coming from young somali boys and men, it's really over for MN Somalis.
Anti somali sentiment has become mainstream and common in Minnesota under people from all races, ages, colors etc. It's not only the cadaans, other immigrant and those that are children of immigrants are distancing themselves from the Somali community because they do not want to be part of this, especially other Africans.
Frankly i'm sick and tired of the community always blaming AA hood/gang culture. How come somali boys are over represented in shit like in most western countries where they reside like the US, Canada, UK, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Australia etc? How come other African refugees like eritrean, Ethiopian and sudanese resist this but somali boys can't?
Meanwhile somali girls and women are out here grinding and getting their papers. Somali boys and men are always destroying the reputation of the whole community. The elders are extremely lazy and deadbeats, the younger generation are out here killing eachother and bringing the whole community down.
At this point somalis can't even live together in large places because of shit like this. Frankly i'm very glad to have always lived in communities with a small but close somali community.

I agree I blame the fathers specifically your supposed to set a standard be the backbone but instead there frolicking in coffee and tea shops absent from there sons life
The amount of involved somali fathers i know is extremely low. Most are either deadbeats or physically present but do nothing when it comes to parenting and household. Like i said, the elders are very lazy, both career, education and parenting wise. It's no wonder why our communities across the west is in shambles.
There is not one successful somali community, not even moderately, in every western country we have settled. At this point most of us have been in the West 30+ years now. Somali refugees are not in the top 5 in most western countries. Yet we are overrepresented in crime, welfare use, unemployment etc. It's really embarrassing to look at the stats when even younger refugee groups like Syrians and Eritreans are doing better than us, and they have been just like us in terms of being lower class.
You telling truth almost all the issues is young guys who are wannabe gangsters. Low iq followers who emulating low life rapper, who has bastard kids , stds, sells drugs and violence to own community. Why follow this when so many positive people in our community who lawyers doctors businessman sheikhs. These low iq criminals need to be removed from gene pool they got every opportunity in life in one of richest states in richest country and squandered it for themselves and hurt community in process

Yeah i discovered it 30 minutes ago and the comments were so and are so vile. If it was any other group, whether the trans, illegal immigrants, Hispanics and African Americans, most of the comments would not be like this. Sure, they deleted many of it but my point still stands. When it's about Somalis racist comments are always upvoted in the hundreds.
They do have a point when it comes to Somali youth causing problems and it not being discussed enough because of fears of being racist (and this only will backfire against the community) but they are always lying, acting like Somalis are not assimilating (most speak English and are more interested in American culture than somali). Also the whole bit of faribault businesses hiring men because somali men are disrespecting women is hilarious. Never heard of this before.

It’s due to limiting beliefs and thus lack of high aspirations which our community suffers from. This and the grime culture imposed on youth is what results in this. The timojileec/arab who are sometimes less well of than our communities doesn’t suffer these 2 critical flaws; they have a culture of encouraging and praising education and success regardless of background or status hence why they are successful. In order to emulate that we need to remove these flaws. It’s not about being the sharpest tool in the box nor about being in poverty. In the west opportunities are everywhere.

After a certain age friends and environment have more of an influence then parents it’s just reality I know people from good homes that got caught up you can’t always blame parents
Most importantly tbey have a culture of holding men to high standards and hold them accountable. The parents raise their sons to want better and have successful careers in high earning jobs, something that is clearly not happening in the Somali community at large when it comes to men.
Also most of them do not prize being invisible. Somalis are so attention starved and seeking. Almost all of these brawls in high school in MN are between Somalis and they love to proudly and broadly film it and post it to the whole world.
True but at the same time many of these children, even from good homes, have low self esteem and hence why they are more influenced by their peers and thus bad influences. If they were raised right and also have their parents install high self esteem, self worth and not the need to be accepted by others (which is one of the biggest problems in our community, the lack of good male role models), this would not happen at all.

I genuinely cannot understand what's happening over there more and more I'm hearing about complaints from people living there and the crazy gang violence. We have problems over here in the UK but I dont hear that much about gang violence compared to MN only benefits and housing. Is it actually that bad over there?
And that is largely because of the issues that the community has brought, like the crime, the fraud, some of the attitudes. And i'm strictly talking about it in the last decade. At first it was definitely the unfamiliar culture, people, skin color, religion but nowadays it's not like that especially when many of the towns and cities in MN have become way more diverse.
They hated the Asian refugees like hmong and karen too. Especially when hmong gangs in the 80s till 00s were active and shooting and killing eachother but nowadays most of them are just regular Americans. There are other muslim communities in the MN especially from South Asia whom are not hated once again because they mind their business and are not out here involved in crimes.
Somali men and boys have been involved in crime in both Minnesota and Maine for 2 decades now and it's not stopping. The community needs to hold these low lives accountable because the reputation has already be destroyed. All those fraudulent NGOs. Like i already said, Somalis want to be too invisible and can't keep it lowky. Other communities especially in the Asian and Hispanic communities are also involved in fraud when it comes to business but they are not out here flexing.
