Another tragedy occurred just this past Friday in Blaine. A 15-year-old Somali kid, Sudais Abdi Omar, was shot dead. Three suspects fled the scene and the mall was put on lock down. One 20-year-old Somali man, Ayub Abdullahi Mohammed, was apprehended; the remaining two are still at large.

At 5:13 p.m., the Blaine Police Department and other law enforcement agencies responded to the Northtown Mall on a report of shots fired in the parking lot, according to Wayne Heath with the Anoka County Sheriff's Office.
