Thoughts on the Axumite Empire?

l believe the predecessor D’mt kingdom was actually Arabian. The temple at Yeha is straight Sabean.

It was mostly a Horner/Northern Cushitic kingdom with heavy Semitic influence similar to how Carthage and Phoenicia was.
From a genetic standpoint, yes it’s predominantly Cushitic. However, I’d say the cultural contribution from both Arabian & Cushitic into Axumite culture is 70/30 [Arabian having a bigger cultural impact].

What a cope lmao, Habesha are descendants of Yemeni colonalists that xooged Cushites
Then they would look vastly different. Truth is they are just north Cushitic agews that got assimilated into a Yemeni Semetic culture/language.

They still resembled and share much with cushites of lowlands and Sudan.

I don’t know whether it’s heavy influence through trade/cultural diffusion or from settling, but Northern Somalia has some ancient sabaean temples dating back millennia. We don’t have any Sabaean/Semitic admixture as far as I’m aware of so it could be the latter.
And I also want to attach this pdf which is in french, I am fluent in it so this was an interesting read, maybe I should translate it ? ; https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...sQFnoECBYQAQ&usg=AOvVaw2HzLGRx3FhY6f9C6lzF3Hj

A local sent these picture of a site where they found the remains of a sabean temple, this is notably where they found sabean inscriptions, the author was sent these pictures, and if I remember correctly, the site was previously visited by an explorer who saw it in better condition and mapped it: View attachment 301833View attachment 301834View attachment 301835

Northern Somalis have minor amounts of Arabian blood from Pre-Islamic times.

More cope, genetics has confirmed they're 25-30% bronze age Yemeni.

Agews were central cushites, not northern cushites that's the Beja. Even the modern Agews didn't get spared from the c*cking, they're 25-30% Yemeni.

"Cushites" of Sudan are even more Arab than Habesha

So you're suggesting only Somalis and Oromo are Cushitic by your logic.

The Sabean settlements on the Eritrean coast was a full scale colonisation so much so that Eritreans & Northern Ethiopians today are 1/4 to 1/3 Arabian in their genome. In Somalia it was just trade based. South Arabian Script have been found as far as Uruk in Mesopotamia, Delos in Greece, as well as Giza in Egypt. Yemenis where ahead of their time and even Allah mentions this marvellous civilisation in the Quran.

The Sabeans should’ve also settled in Northern Somalia & start up high cultured States like that of D’mt & civilise our barbaric ancestors.
Who said they weren’t civilized? The Land of Punt was trading with Ancient Egypt and Kush and impacted them culturally for centuries which eventually went on to impact the ancient Mediterranean. Kush & Punt had also once allied together to raid Ancient Egypt nearly destroying them.

One of the Ancient Egyptian oldest folktales talks about its connection in trade with Punt. Basically the story goes, an official of the Pharaoh returns home from a expedition which did not go well. He has to report the bad news to the Pharaoh and is obviously worried about what might happen to him at the meeting. His servant, trying to cheer him up, tells him a story of what happened, he tells his master how he survived the shipwreck and came ashore on an amazing land where he met a great talking serpent who called himself the Prince of Punt. All good things were on the island and the sailor and the snake converse until a ship is hailed and he can return to Egypt. As the Land of Punt had been a well-known partner in trade with Egypt since the Fourth Dynasty
(2616-2498 CE) it is interesting to see it portayed mythically as a land of riches and mystery from which the sailor is rescued, after being helped by the serpent, and returned home a more experienced man.

Down below is a link to the full story, check it out if you like
Sudan and the Horn isn’t usually talked about when it comes to ancient history. Land of Punt & Ancient Egyptian trade was among the first examples of international trade and even brought along many folktales (see this thread: https://www.somalispot.com/threads/...ilor-an-ancient-egyptian-epic-of-punt.155192/) and culture that dissipated into the Mediterranean like the incense obsession of the Romans came from the Egyptians who got it from the Puntites.

I’m pretty sure all Somalis do. Tho whether the ancient Semitics did a large migration to the Horn and the Red Sea or not will be found out through future genetic reports I guess 🤷‍♂️

Bruh, nobody knows where Punt was even located. As far as we know, there was no local civilisation in Northern Somalia in Pre-Islamic times.
