They were made to make every region about the same size in population.Do these lines have anything to do with Qabil per chance or are they state boarders bases on other things?

Not true, under the British there were 5 and then 6 principal districts which formed British Somaliland.
Hargeisa
Berbera
Borama
Burao (later carved into Burao and Las Anod)
Erigavo
On June 26th 1960, these 6 principal districts became the regions.

1960sI am familiar with the districts, which came under the two regions. You will agree if you reference history books at the British library.
At one point, Togdheer, Sanaag & Sool were known as Norther region, later rebranded North Eastern.
Moving along.
And that was derived from the colonial legacy, as indicative of the names. Explains the reason the new Administration in Sool, Sanaag & Togdheer is now named North East. You finish the rest.1960s
Two regions in the north .North west and north east with their districts.

This map is factually and historically wrong in so many places. We should revert to the 8 regions model

Nice, are u the Somalilander from Canada, I forgot his name but we started to follow each other on Twitter and he was in our Eritrean Somali group chat. But he seems not active on Twitter anymoreIβm an Isaaq. I know this vision is not supported by my people (for controversial reasons). I have a Somaliand flag at my own house (my family are the biggest Somaliand supporters out there). I always talk about the greater Somalia idea. As much this is a dream than a reality. Weβve couldβve accomplished greater things with this idea.
One race, one religion, one language and one culture. And yet divided. WTF Somalia.
