Btw ,the discussion on the thread shows why the "black " people philosophy has many contradictions .pan Africans consider Papuans and other aboriginal groups as "black " because they have stereotypical " negroid" features .on the other hand ,Tamils,who are darker than many Africans, aren't considered "black "because they do not have stereotypical features of "negroids ".
Many Aa and west Africans would consider the Papuans as authentically more black than some Somalis on account of their negroid looks and due to the Somalis so called "Caucasian" features .
The other day I heard an interesting conversation between some African Caribbean youths . They were surprised that another of their Congolese African friends was from Congo and not "Somalian " or " coolie ". Coolie is an offensive term madows use to refer to Asians in the West Indies .It shows that that even the madows are using 19th century European markers to categorise ethnic groups .
