Its not wrong to say that we are fractured as that is in fact true. But to say that the ummah cannot be united ignores the quran, the sunnah and 1400 years of revival cycles that prove otherwise.

Like if Somaliweyn becomes stable and prosperous and take back our lands and continues to thrive would that then not matter as we’ll be then absorber by the larger ummah belief and the “ummah” being a country consisting of all Muslim nations?

True I get that but I’ve grown so attached to the idea of Somaliweyn and there would be nothing that quench this lifelong thirst then seeing all over our ancestral lands under one Somali name sis but Yh I get that once we die our hereafter begins and doesn’t matter ultimately.

And Yh that makes sense since we were never apart if the vast caliphate Muslim empire in the past that had All of Arabia, North Africa and Spain but still Somaliweyn shines bright and firm in my heart although this is all temporary.

You see those with sickness in their hearts racing for their guardianship, saying ˹in justification˺, “We fear a turn of fortune will strike us.” But perhaps Allah will bring about ˹your˺ victory or another favour by His command, and they will regret what they have hidden in their hearts.

O you who have believed, do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies. They are allies of one another. And whoever amongst you is an ally to them then indeed, he is of them. Indeed, Allaah does not guide the wrongdoing people.

Last major Muslim Empire was the Ottoman(though their rule was horrific). It collapsed in 1922 something. It's now what? 103 years since then

We have had many good muslim rulers. One person in particular is king faisal who was legitimately a good ruler and did revive Islam before being assassinated. He had a pan islam vision crossing even arabias borders. he wasnt the head of the ummah but represented the ummah. In a way he did fulfil that hadith.
