Even within a single muslim country people are not all united. Unify at the base national level and the rest of the ummah will follow suit and be united. There is never going to be a united ummah. Everyone should just focus on developing their country and stop thinking about others etc.
You are wrong. There will be and there always has been an ummah no matter what state it is in.There is never going to be a united ummah. Everyone should just focus on developing their country and stop thinking about others etc.
Nah there really won’t ever be a Global Unoted Ummah and there is nothing wrong with saying this. You are wrong. There will be and there always has been an ummah no matter what state it is in.
VERILY, [O you who believe in Me,] this community of yours is one single community, since I am the Sustainer of you all [quran 21:92]
You are correct in saying that the muslim world is divided right now but this isnt the first time and it wont be the last. Look at history
After the civil wars post uthman, the ummayads rose, uniting Muslims from Spain to India. After the fall of the umayyads, the abbasids rose and launched the golden age of islam. after the crusaders took jerusalem, salahuddin restored it. After the mongols burned baghdad, the mamluks defeated them and preserved Islam. after centuries of division, the Ottomans united vast lands under one flag.
Prophet Muhammad (saw) said:
Indeed, Allah will raise for this Ummah at the head of every hundred years someone who will renew for it its religion.
Abu Dawud (4291), Sahih Hadith
Nah there really won’t ever be a Global Unoted Ummah and there is nothing wrong with saying this.
Future wars and events explained in the Quran and the Mahdi will indeed have a Multitude and Sufficient amount of Muslims no doubt but the “Ummah” as in everyone, those days are over and just a Product of the past.
So then in the future would every Muslim nation unite as one single entity/nation?Ummah ≠ everyone agreeing on everything. It has never happened before. We have always had different madhabs, cultures, ethnicities and languages. What made the ummah united was its common direction which was belief in Allah, the quran and a shared responsibility to stand up for each other. Political unity is ideal but not the only measure of the ummahs reality.
“Allah will raise for this Ummah at the head of every hundred years someone who will renew for it its religion.” Abu Dawud, 4291 (Sahih)
your statement contradicts the messenger of Allah. A global revival of deen has happened repeatedly throughout history and will continue to do so in the future.
Its not wrong to say that we are fractured as that is in fact true. But to say that the ummah cannot be united ignores the quran, the sunnah and 1400 years of revival cycles that prove otherwise.
You dont have to see it in your lifetime to believe in it. But it will happen the same way its always done so.
Allahu aclam i do not know how they are going to be united. Could be through political means or social means or a rebellion or through war. I understand what you are saying but we were always apart of the ummah despite us never sharing landmass with other muslim nations. For example we werent apart of the ummayad khalifah yet we still had ties to them and traded with them as they were muslims. We were natural allies of these empires. So then in the future would every Muslim nation unite as one single entity/nation?
Like if Somaliweyn becomes stable and prosperous and take back our lands and continues to thrive would that then not matter as we’ll be then absorber by the larger ummah belief and the “ummah” being a country consisting of all Muslim nations?
Not sure if this is haram to say but I support the idea of the ummah and believe in it wholeheartedly but I don’t want Somaliweyn as a nation to be apart of it in the geographical sense like borders between Muslim nations now becomes useless type of situation.
I want us to keep our lands and Somaliweyn and don’t want to be apart of it territorially but apart it spiritually and in u disputed allyship.
True I get that but I’ve grown so attached to the idea of Somaliweyn and there would be nothing that quench this lifelong thirst then seeing all over our ancestral lands under one Somali name sis but Yh I get that once we die our hereafter begins and doesn’t matter ultimately.Allahu aclam i do not know how they are going to be united. Could be through political means or social means or a rebellion or through war. I understand what you are saying but we were always apart of the ummah despite us never sharing landmass with other muslim nations. i dont mean to sound morbid but once we die theres no more somalia nor somaliweyn or somali ethnicity. Once the mahdi comes out as well theres no more somalia so i would say dont worry too much about landmass since im guessing we wont see a united ummah in our lifetimes. Religion is the most important factor when it comes to the ummah, not nationalism. We are stronger once united and weak once divided.
If you don't have that mindset as a nation then you will be a puppet for other nationIs everything a struggle for survival and domination?
With the context of the previous aaya helps a lotI believe this is a more accurate ayah
You see those with sickness in their hearts racing for their guardianship, saying ˹in justification˺, “We fear a turn of fortune will strike us.” But perhaps Allah will bring about ˹your˺ victory or another favour by His command, and they will regret what they have hidden in their hearts.
Last major Muslim Empire was the Ottoman(though their rule was horrific). It collapsed in 1922 something. It's now what? 103 years since thenYou are wrong. There will be and there always has been an ummah no matter what state it is in.

We have had many good muslim rulers. One person in particular is king faisal who was legitimately a good ruler and did revive Islam before being assassinated. He had a pan islam vision crossing even arabias borders. he wasnt the head of the ummah but represented the ummah. In a way he did fulfil that hadith.Last major Muslim Empire was the Ottoman(though their rule was horrific). It collapsed in 1922 something. It's now what? 103 years since then
