Republicans have some nutters in the party though. In Europe most 'conservative' parties are moderate DemocratsCenter-right parties in Western countries are just liberals from 30 years ago, while the supposed center-left have become pseudo-communist extremists.

America is weird.
Republicans aren't all the same everywhere. Same with Dems by the way. They differ by state.
The ones in blue states tend to be more reasonable/centrist.
The ones in red states are the crazies you hear about.
American progressives aren’t that crazy. It’s a very small number that’s over exaggerated.
I would say Continental Europe has a worse problem. They have both crazy lefties and borderline nazis.
Nazism and racial politics is illegal by law in most EU countries, while the US has a lot of freedom of speech on this.
The right in Europe is more obsessed with Islam than with race, while in the States it is the reverse.
@Periplus
Example, a new rising French populist who is an Algerian Jew who is mostly talking about Islam:
While in the States, the right would be mostly about Hispanics, blacks, inner-city dysfunction etc. (racial), instead of about religion or cultural issues.
Tbf Eric Zemmour is still “too Arab” for his target audience.
The Le Pen family have a stranglehold on fringe right French politics.
Personally, I find this “battle for culture” waged by the European right to be scary as its uncharted territory. At least when it comes to racial dogwhistling, there is a line in America.
However, since “Islam isn’t a race” these groups have blank cheques to say stuff that they would never dream saying to a racial group.
These movements remind me of “low fat sweets”, distracting us with a nonsense statement when the actual sinister ingredient is still inside.
MENAs and/or Muslims who migrate to the States tend to be of a higher class (lol, except Somalis), while Europe gets the plebs from the Middle East and in much larger numbers. This mostly explains the obsession rightwing Europe has with Islam and the lack (or reduced interest) in the States by the right.
I think Europe has much better race relations than America, most of the hatred towards immigrants comes from not contributing/crime, etc. In America though, the racism is for just existing.Tbf Eric Zemmour is still “too Arab” for his target audience.
