The years 90-2000 I miss so much l

There was a certain levity and carelessness at that time, people lived and basta, they were not all on anxiolytics, it was really another atmosphere to see another world

There weren’t those social networks that kind of ruined this world either

Our parents had good jobs and almost all owned a house, Even if they were refugees today you are happy if you get a little appartment.. We’re really living in a shitty time, seeing the worst of our century honestly everything was so much better before

I saw a documentary about the crack. I don't think that era was any good, in fact this time is way better.

Every new era is worse than the one that proceeds it.

Hadith on Fitnah: Each new era is worse than one before it

Al-Zubair ibn ‘Adi reported: We came to Anas ibn Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, and we complained to him of what we suffered from the ruler Al-Hajjaj. Anas said, “Be patient, for an era will not come upon but that what comes after is worse, until you meet your Lord. I heard it from your Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.”

The 90's were better than today. The 80's were better than the 90's, the 70's were better than the 80's, etc.

and that’s really only to blame the older generations. The oldest of Gen Z ‘98 - ‘03 were barely even in highschool and middle school when millennials were coming up with this LGBT and wokism nonsense, they completely fed it straight to the gen z who were still in elementary school and now you have 12 year old middle schoolers claiming to be transgender pansexuals.

After all of that they have the audacity to say “this generation is too soft” or “this generation is ruined”. Not to mention Gen x and Boomers just messing up the economy and hoarding all the wealth.

Just yesterday I saw a tiktok of this person who was showing their sexuality throughout their years and it went like:

grade 1: straight, didn’t know lgbt
grade 2: straight, knew lgbt
grade 3: straight
grade 4: confused/questioning
grade 5: lesbian
grade 6: lesbian queer

and that was it, this person is in grade 6. They were in grade 4 back in 2019 when things were already peaking. If gen z are bad rn wait until Gen alpha, 2008+ born kids start hitting highschool when they’re already identify as gay and trans straight out of elementary school

Everyone is always nostalgic for the past.
Ofcourse , I get nostalgic bumps whenever I hear Biggie Smalls and Tupac , on the radio , in Somalia it was a hit , sheekooyinka "Dheg Dheer Dhimato Dhulkii Nabadeey"
I liked the story of 1000 nights, Alladdin in Afsoomali , the sheeko of cigaal shidaad
And many more, I loved the radio , it was my onl friend and the cassettes , okay sometimes my wadaad brother would get angry with me for listening to shaydaan maraykaan rap on his stereo , because he wanted to listen to sheikh boqolsoon , but I would catch him tuning into tubeec popular song.

kkkkk
I was very young and it reminds me of my life there , the Somalia, damn it the isbaandheys and the bur somali
give me memories.
I knew people had mini afros and not the inkaar we see today , even then for a rural population that was in the midst of civil war , chaos and violence they had some fashion sense , they looked healthy and would be eligible in today's world as athletes , models and very healthy looking people despite the war people looked way more human than today.
Not the barcelona UNHRC jerseys and skinny effiminate jeans , back then the youths would either grow their hair or shave it completely and wear kakhi shirts and
trousers , not this fucking shit lesbian butch looking jeego hairstyles we see among all faaraxs today.

I hated going to Dugsi , cleaning the slate and using radio batteries as ink "khadka la raqdeyo" , but I liked to play ladoo among the classmates and hunt for the hedgehogs "kuulay cali banjar" chasing them .
I used to get sent to baadiye whenever I was making trouble , I was tasked with herding the the cattles, sometimes you would milk from them for breakfast and walk long distances,
while listening to hip hop on the radio , back then English sounded very strange but funny. It sounded like shhjdjisb hjsshsghj sjjjjj very gibberish
Actually I picked up an English book in abandoned destroyed Library , it was torn apart but it was a novel

There are many things I miss about the good old golden days , today I don't think I can recall anything with the present Somalia.

I get what you mean , life was much less complicated than it is today when it comes to the digitalised age.

People lived simply and happily , their lives may not be perfect and their circumstances were in dire situation but nowhere near this doom we are witnessing , humanity is regressing , sooner or later people will have a hard time reading a small paragraphs , just look at the newer generation , they're now expressing everything with emojis , the internet is their world.
the social interaction was high , when he had no internet , no internet but we still had something to connect to the outside world ,
not like today where people are glued onto their phones , a device which is everything , a TV they put in their pockets.

I was too young to have experienced the early 2000s properly. Wish I was at least 10 years older which would have made me a teenager in the early 2000s.

I don't remember life back then but one relative of mine would always talk about how great it was.

I remember the 2000s were amazing. Given $5 by your parents and you could buy a McDonald's meal with an apple pie and even super sized with change left over. They had the best orange drink too until they got rid of it. It was the unofficial Somali soft drink. Much better than Fanta or Mirinda or whatever terrible versions exist today. Everything was cheap. Blockbuster was a great adventure. The malls were fun. Road trips with much less traffic and with almost zero Hindi everywhere at attractions. The best music came from that time. No one had phones but were still able to reach you at home or the basketball court. People had genuine relationships. Nintendo 64. And of course nothing was offensive. Everyone said racist or below the belt comments to everyone and no one cried. Even teachers and adults joined in and wouldn't get in trouble because the principal would be laughing too. It was a fact of life and as normal as breathing. TV shows or the news was not politically correct. Kids these days don't know what they missed. They're 9 years old now talking about race and all useless garbage like trigger warnings and can't take a joke. No one was angry back then and socially awkward, unlike today. Best times. You had to be tough back then but everyone showed love.

Blockbuster was awesome, i remember i rented games with the little money i saved up and blasted through the story mode. Games today are literally 80$ for a multiplayer game with slightly better graphics.

Forget the 90s, try the 50s my dearest. Man life was great back then. We had our leave it to beaver little house. We use to get fresh delivery every morning from the milkman

we use to ride our bikes all over town til dusk....no stranger danger back then. And we use to enjoy family time in the evening watching I love lucky or Marilyn movie. And mother would make a pie and leave it to cool on our windowsill. We’d have a slice with glass of milk.

this is obviously sarcasm but it’s kind of funny some people genuinely believe this. Acting like hoods and cocaine didn’t exist in the ‘50s, people smoking cigarettes in literal airplanes and having to store food in ice boxes because fridges weren’t really a thing.

Even today I go out biking almost everyday to go play ball all the way until maghrib. Your dad would be an alcoholic who beats his wife and your mom would be an even worse alcoholic who beat you 😂

Life wasn’t better at any moment. It’s like a kid born in 2040 watching a kids show where the family of 5 white kids live in a 2 story 6 bedroom 4 bath homes with incredibly supportive and kind parents and siblings who fight sometimes but stick out for each other and think that’s how everyone in 2020 lives like.
