i was surprised to learn plenty of eritreans speak arabic as a 1st language. if afwerki was one of them then i think eritrea would have joined the arab league.Eritrea and Sudan share several ethnicities. Bejas are one of them. Beni Amer, Kunama and Rashaida also live in both countries.
@Gracias I also want you to read this. We may be tribal but our people don't look down on each other on the basis of whos ancestors were ayrab or not. I can look an Cisse from the tip of greater somalia to the the RX at the bottom and come to the the conclusion that they are somali. We shouldn't worry ourselves on what anti-somali bs theTheir war did not start 30 years after the war in Somalia. Sudan has been in a forever war for decades. It was split into two with its oil rich region taken away. Something that hasn’t even happened in Somalia. Not to mention the never ending genocide in Dafur. It is a deeply divided and tribal country and a playground for foreign powers.
abshir WalalSomalis aren’t, idk who these people that began popping up. I have know idea where this almost incessant self-defeating and isolationist behaviour propped the past few months.
Love and prosperity to mybrothers and sisters

And I don't see many eritreans speaking about Somalia, seems like u want to push an agenda
Yep. Other East Africans love to throw us under the bus. Anytime there’s a discourse about a negative topic, they make sure to mention that we’re the worst. But when it’s something positive or when they want to appropriate our culture they love to push this whole “East African” nonsense. I’m sick of them tbhView attachment 370820
They’re always liking shady comments like these on various platforms. It’s not just them it’s the Sudanis & Ethiopians as well. Sorry, but you’re not gonna gaslight me. I go through the likes of anti Somali comments and there’s a pattern. Fellow Horners & Sudanis love it whenever Somali women are getting dehumanized.
As many of you are aware there’s a current war in Sudan, but what’s rarely discussed is how deep seated anti-Somali sentiment is within their society. Let’s unpack it. Do they deserve our support? I think not. North Sudanis are what many accuse Somalis of being; anti-Black, filled with superiority, and deeply ashamed of anything that ties them to Africa. Their society thrives on Arab exceptionalism and looks down on darker skinned tribes. To sum it up, their civil war is rooted in anti-Blackness.
The Sudanese, especially in Arabic speaking spaces, love to throw us under the bus since they are always treated as the lowest hanging fruit within the hierarchy. Back in 2019, Alaa Salah, a 22 year old North Sudanese student, stood on top of a car leading crowds and said, “Don’t be like Somalia and destroy our country.”
Our people’s struggles are always thrown in our faces by everyone, especially other Northeast Africans such as Ethiopians, Eritreans, and Sudanese, all while they shamelessly demand our support. I say it is best that Somalis stay out of their online debates and pushback when they demand our support.
